I am warning GM Dexron about using the Those who own
5/5

For my Miata, I bought this Mobil 1 atf and it worked perfectly. I have never experienced anything like that with a Miata. After using this oil for 12 quarts in my GMC Sierra, I replaced all 12 quarts. It seemed that the transmission always shifted smoothly, but with the Mobil 1, I felt even smoother shifting, but I also noticed a shuddering sensation in the 4L60e that I had not noticed before. During the first 100 miles I drove the cars the shudder continued, however I replaced the Mobil 1 oil with dexron synthetic oil from GM and the shudder quickly disappeared. My experience indicates that if you own a GM, the 4L60e transmission wants the real Dexron, in which case I should have chosen a safer solution like the AC Delco Dexron from the beginning. I tried it with my GMC Sierra and it didn't work well. It said that it worked with GM Dexron. I still think it is a great ATF. oil was supplied by GM.

INVESTIGATION OF PROJECT FARM RESULTED IN A GOOD RESULT
5/5

Project Farm is one of the coolest channels on YouTube A TOOB that performs standard functional testing on many common products in a semi-automated way This requires a controlled approach. There are no hidden agendas and results are open to all, often in a timely manner Those who contribute to the channel are its sponsors. It is not sponsored by anyone. The testor bought the products with support from his fans as well as his own money. A lot of testing is done for the sake of fun, such as using pig fat as a small engine lubricant, which actually proved to be quite effective. To his credit, Todd, the owner of the channel, also does some preliminary testing, like measuring cold- and hot-flow rates of different synthetic oils, like this new Amazon Basics synthetic 5W-80. The oil is 30. It lubricated better than Mobil 1, and it flowed better in cold and hot flow tests compared to Mobil 1. 5W-30 isn't quite as good as Mobil 1 5W-30 for lubricity. In spite of being almost as good as the $300, but for its lower price, it seems to be a better value for most users that drive on average.

It was Mercon V who was If you are using a plain jane Mercon, watch out
5/5

The Mercon V cable is perfect for your After using this fluid for 200,000 miles on my Ford Windstar, I can safely say it is still going strong. But watch out if Mercon is called for by Ford. Specifically, Ford says in 2001 that Mercon is not compatible with Mercon V. In 2007, Ford discontinued Mercon and specifies Mercon V is now compatible with Mercon old body. The term "multi-tasking" The Mercon V product line is the only one that is compatible with "fluids" like this one. The Ford TSB 06-2009 gives you more information on this. See Ford TSB 01- dated 7/24/06 for power steering and 07-4 dated 7/24/06 for power steering The 26th of July, 2001, the document 07 was dated. The Dexron II and Mercon fluids are still available from many companies. *** * * I have included an excerpt from my 2003 Ford owners manual. Some transmission fluids, such as MERCON V and MERCON, are labeled for multipurpose use. It is not recommended to use these double-purpose fluids in automatic transmissions that require the MERCON type of Although these dual-purpose fluids can be used in transmissions that require MERCON V type fluid, they do have a limited shelf life. A MERCON type fluid cannot be refilled with a MERCON type fluid. Mixing MERCON and MERCON V is a bad idea. If you use a transmission fluid that indicates dual usage (MERCON and MERCON V) in an automatic transmission application that requires MERCON, transmission damage may result. Transmission damage can occur if fluid used other than that recommended by the manufacturer is used.

This is good stuff
5/5

In my 99 Toyota Corolla 3 speed automatic, I changed the filter and replaced the fluid with Mobile 1 after the first 15,000 miles, and I've been using it ever since for routine 30,000 mile maintenance. As a Toyota dealer mechanic, I asked what my car's biggest failure has been and he said transmissions- This is the most common problem I've seen on my car. It is often forgotten that they need to be serviced and they fail to do it. Now, after 170,000 miles, the transmission is still squeaky clean inside and shifts as smooth as In addition, my 2000 Chevy 3/4 4X4 truck has a lot more miles on it, and the 80 series transmission shifts like it just got At almost $9, that's close to $10. There is no charge for a quart, it is $2,000 worth of insurance for a rebuilt transmission at Wal Mart is cheap, but I see it as a cheap $2,000.

Within minutes of changing fluid, there is a noticeable improvement in shifting
5/5

As soon as this fluid is added, my shifting becomes way smoother. As a start, I only use mobil 1 transmission fluid and it already had mobil 1 in it before I changed it to new fluid and added that The test was really put to the test by me as well. It's been over 3 years and over 60,000 miles since I've last changed the fluid in my mobil 1. Despite not being burnt, it still felt like there was plenty of cushioning, however. My bottle of Lavender was dark but not as bad as some of the others I've seen at cheaper prices. It isn't a good idea to leave fluid in your vehicle for that long either, but if you get too busy to replace it, know that this stuff works, which is why you pay twice the amount I also had a very low amount of carbon on my magnet. My transmission was incredibly clean on both the inside and the outside. This worked well on a 2004 chevy Tahoe, so if anyone is confused by the dextron and whether they need 3 or higher, this will work fine on a Tahoe from 2004 and.

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID WITH THE BEST PERFORMANCE
5/5

It is the only synthetic trans fluid you need to use. We use only this in our race car transmissions, and it's the only gas in my truck I have a tow truck with a towing capacity of 450 tons. 10 YEARS, I am not aware of having had a trans failure in either of my race cars. Our annual maintenance includes checking the transmission and gears to make sure they are in good working condition. BOTH CARS WILL BE BACK IN THE RACE FOR THE NEW RACE SEASON WITH NEW SEALS AND GASKETS, NEW FLUID, AND NEW BINDINGS.
