I believe it's DOT3, but it depends on what you decide to run with your car
As long as you have leftover fluid, you should be able to flush your brake system and top it up as necessary.
I would recommend ordering two bottles just to be sure. One bottle should be adequate to flush the system, but I would order two just to be sure. Here is what I hope will help.

The cap is omitted. During rotor changes, pads, and bleeding of fluid, this will be used to replenish lost As I know this product is going to work, I feel confident. The container did not come with a screw cap, which I found to be a low point for me. During transit, the fluid was kept from leaking only by the routine thin seal that is glued on top of the container. I would have given it a negative 14 out of ten if that seal had bled and brake fluid was leaking all over your stuff and mine.
It is normal for the brake fluid level to drop after a few thousand miles of driving considering how quickly the brake pads wear. If you're going to add any Dot3/4, top off the OEM fluid with OEM fluid first, and don't add any Dot3/4" so you can eliminate.
As I was servicing the rear brakes on my 2013 Subaru Forester, I decided it was time to flush the brake fluid and bled it too. In the end, I went with OEM Subaru since it was only marginally more expensive than the aftermarket version This is the exact product that was already in the system, but it is a brand option. Plus, I did the job myself and saved about $600 ($100 in parts and $700 from.
There's nothing much I can say about it other than it's Subaru's own The maintenance log specifies that the vehicle must be replaced every 30000 miles.
It is good to find Subaru brake fluid for Subaru at a good price. The market is getting a lot more confusing with manufacturers and modern technology, so I tend to stick to factory fluids now.
The fluid I used for topping up the brakes on my 2015 Subaru Outback was this. - Meets my expectations - So far, I haven't encountered any problems.
The warning light on my car was on. I added the brake fluid and the issue was fixed.
It's a Subaru product. Subaru brake fluid sealed in a plastic container.
