It's not clear where this product is made, but if you were to buy this gallon and then flush the entire system, I believe that you would only have about half a gallon left. Basically, you should flush your system with two quarts of water.
Selected User Reviews For Johnsen's 2234 Premium DOT-3 Brake Fluid - 1 Gallon
With one gallon of gas, I filled up two vehicles. Like brake fluid, both in smell and appearance. The reason for my 4 star rating is that my cheap brake fluid tester (the kind that basically tests for water in the fluid by using conductance of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4%) only showed 1% for Johnsons DOT3, and 0% for Prestone DOT3-- The tests were conducted on new and newly opened containers both sealed and unsealed. A gallon of Johnson's cleaning fluid and 32 ounces of Prestone cleaning fluid. Formerly, Motorcraft DOT3 was 0% also, a couple of months ago Ideally, I'd like a 0% reading for Johnsons brake fluid, which I've used anyway - I'm not sure how important the cheapie test is, but I would appreciate a 0% reading. The brake fluid readings of one vehicle were 4% (max), and the other 3% before a brake fluid flush The former had also scored high on copper strip test (change fluid now), while the latter nearly had a high score We will retest the vehicles in a little more than a month, once water and copper have been allowed to diffuse into the brake fluid It is expected to be two Water scale is low for 3% and copper scale is quite low for 3%. Since the piston rings in the brake calipers are not compressed into their bores, the brake system cannot be flushed out very efficiently by the most common methods.
There was 3% water in the fluid, and I also tried using another tester and it showed humidity of 3%. At new, I've tried other brands of brake fluid and got Even if I had been doing this on my own vehicle, I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing it to anyone else's. As far as buying this brand of brake fluid is concerned, I am unlikely to go back to it unless I got a bad batch.
I bought this product as part of a system replacement to replace the brake fluid and calipers in my Titan hydraulic over electric braking. There was no need to go over a gallon. The package came leaking for other people, judging from the reviews I read. The item arrived here safely without any issues, even in Hawaii. I am very pleased with the.
Those high dollar companies do not need to advertise that product because this one is on par with any high end brand. With more than 85 years of experience in the aftermarket car care business, the Johnsen's brand is one of the oldest and most reputable. As part of my research concerning the packaging of brake fluid, I found the following As part of the Tony Stewart and John Force racing teams since 2002, Johnsen's has been very proud of being a part of the teams. In the course of our partnership, both professionals have won numerous championships in their respective fields. These teams seem very comfortable about their product running at the speeds they do, and I feel very comfortable using it on a daily basis!.
I ordered supplies online because I had two brake jobs to do, and since we are sheltered for this Coronavirus, I needed to flush the lines on both cars. This jug is good value and comes in a large size. However, it would probably be too much to fit in just one car.
I do not know how much, if any, better or worse this brake fluid is than other brands. I consider that to be a win.
I don't know how much fluid I will use although I have extra but the price was right since it was the cheapest gallon I found.
I would recommend it if you are looking for a good value and fast shipping. This gallon of water was used to thoroughly clean a brake system that had not been maintained in at least ten years.
