Motorcraft oils are consistently one of the best OEM fluids on the market - they are one of the best hydraulic oil alternatives on the market. I have used Mobil 1 engine oil successfully as an axle lubricant, but it will not work with the awesome Ecoboost engine. My recommendation for them is high.
The Utube video says it's recommended. I am not a Ford technician, but according a Utube video, yes, it's In that case, I changed my old fluid with the new one after speaking to the service department at a Ford dealership. My 2005 Ford F150 5 has a 3.0 liter engine. The engine is a Triton 4 X 4 with an engine power of 3 volts. In my opinion, the same would apply to your vehicle, but I'd call your local Ford dealership if you want to be absolutely sure. You will have to do a dirty job, but it is not that hard. If your vehicle is four wheel drive, you should do both differentials at the same time. I hope this helps.
You can reach your local Ford dealer's parts counter by phone. It is important to note that Ford gear oil has some idiosyncrasies. There are two choices here, this oil or some other, and you will probably *br>I just installed the latest version of At the age of 55 I'm in a crown vic sport with LS, and I love
The Ford F150 will benefit from it.

Is there anything more you can say about this product? It is an original Ford Motorcraft product that is perfect when changing If generic products are offered at half the cost they may seem steep to some, but there is one important point you should keep in mind In the case of me and many others who have a limited slip differential that requires a friction modifier from Ford, these other no-name products already contain additives.
I'm pretty specific about the fluids I use, which is why I buy only manufacturer-recommended parts, so I picked up a 4oz bottle of Ford friction modifier from the local auto parts store.
Please be warned I strongly advise you not to purchase that pump linked in the "Frequently Bought With" section. I got bottles that do not fit the pump I bought. According to Ford, it changed the bottle shape recently, so the pump is no longer working. In spite of this, the gear oil I'm using works well for my vehicle.
After 200 thousand miles, the differential oil has been changed once again. For 2008, we have a Ford F250. At 200k miles, the differential oil is changed for the second time. The third point The contents are 5 cups plus 4 ounces. For 10 there should be a friction modifier. The 10 bolt limited slip is 5 inches. In the end, it took about an hour to install and I used a felpro gasket with a thin coating of RTV between the cover and gasket. Detailed cleaning of the surfaces was completed. If my Ford truck is still around after 300k miles, I hope it will be around at that time. This Ford stuff is built like a tank!.
Despite the fact that Ford says it is lifetime, buying this fluid and replacing it every 30k miles is a wise decision. Regardless of how old your PTU is, it will never fail.
In the past, I have spent an entire day (17 hours) on the interstate and want to make sure I do what is advisable for my Lincoln Town Car Signature L. However, those wonderful beasts are no longer manufactured. Currently, I have an 8 out of 10. Three-segment differential at 8" and three-segment differential at 3" The ratio is 27 to 1. The motorcraft's XL-Power was also added to 4 ounces of water There is also a friction modifier with a potential for less noise-the car likes this just as much as the original formula-which is exactly what I wanted considering the car did not require any modifications in that regard. This fluid will perform lifetime service for applicable Ford vehicles just like the original formulation.
The best Ford vehicle fluids are those manufactured by Motorcraft, especially if you have a vehicle that Ford claims will last for the lifetime of the vehicle. Ignorance is bliss. My Taurus X's PTU fluid had never been replaced in 160K, and the original was thick, black goo and had no value. I used this particular product in my smaller Ford SUV with the PTU, as my Taurus X's had never had any fluid changed. It turns out the seals are failing (thanks Ford), but I changed out the oil nonetheless. One negative thing that I have to say about this product is that the cost doubled in just a few years (thanks again, Ford), and this has hurt me. Though I am still a Ford fan, I am trying to convey to others that your Ford does not come with lifetime fluids.
There are three pieces missing from the rear of my 2010 F150. My order was for 4 quarts, so I bought 4. With another 50k miles on it, they're pricey, but now that's great for a year.
Don't let the manual fool you with the 2 quarts it says. The extra quart turned out to be sufficient for me because I ended up using 2 1/2 quarts. Apart from that, it is Ford that provides the fluid and that is exactly what it should be.
