Questions & Answers

Is there a requirement to use this, or can you just pour oil into the air intake?

This grease (or another grease of similar weight and applicator tip) should be used only IF you have an impact wrench like the Ingersoll-Rand Impact Wrench This is a requirement for the 2317G series. It is vital that the impact mechanisms of these models are lubricated. The air motor ONLY needs to be lubricated by the air inlets. It will tell you if it needs it or not in the owner's manual. The wrench includes part a) When it comes to wrenches that need grease, it is usually recommended to grease them before use and after every 48 hours, otherwise you will greatly decrease the wrench's life span. In the absence of a plug, you will need to remove the casing and lubricate the impact mechanism through that process. Oil still only needs to be added to the air-inlet of the wrench in most cases.

Do you have this kit in the latest version?

A few days ago, I ordered this kit. Unfortunately, the previous version I received did not come with the grease gun, the one that clamps onto the grease tube.

It appears that only the whole kit has to be purchased when you are ready to refill the grease. Would you be able to buy refills for it?

This air tool oil has a part number of 10Z4, and this grease has a part number of There are two versions of the 4T, each separately available.

Can you recommend any other grease that would be similar or compatible with this?

It should work with any NGLI 0 grease. I can think of John Deere Corn Head Grease as an example. The price you see here allows you to buy a whole case of JD grease for just this price! You could live 100 years with this.

The grease gun he was holding was awesome! A lot of reviews mentioned that the grease dispenser had to be screwed onto the tube, which was a negative review
5/5

In the kit sold directly from Amazon, it seems like IR updated the set (at least the one I received), and I also received an actual grease gun. Here is a picture of the attached file. After I have had a chance to utilize it more, I will update this review. This purchase was made in.

Is enough to do what I want it to do
4/5

It takes a few minutes to pump out the grease, but it works fine. It made my 2135 impact gun more quiet during its first use, then went back to being loud, but not so.

Oil is not enough for the job, so save your money and use this grease & applicator! I used it to grease a IR 2317G and it worked great! If you have an impact wrench either like the Ingersoll-Rand or Metabo, then you MUST use this This is a requirement for the 2317G series
5/5

It is vital that the impact mechanisms of these models are lubricated. I was happy to find an applicator with a plug that fit into this model, which saved me from having to take the entire front casing off. Using this grease was very easy and the grease was the right weight for the job. It is true that if left for a few days, you'll need to repress the applicator, but that's not a difficult task. When I first used it, it leaked a little, but then I began to squeeze less as I pumped grease into my wrench, and now there isn't much grease leaking. In addition to wrenches, I use it for regular maintenance on other wrenches. In order to maintain and extend the life of the tool, it IS important to use a wrench grease of a proper weight. If you do not need to use an applicator, you can purchase this grease in 1 lb tubs.

To get the most out of your air tool, follow these steps
5/5

It is important to take care of your air tool and oil it every day before using it for the very first time to ensure that it will continue to provide you with service for many years. When I worked at HFT, their products would be brought back constantly for warranty, but the underlying reason for most returns is because the user didn't oil their tools religiously. You will be able to take care of your tools if you care for them.

A broken grease gun and a high price are both problems with this product
3/5

As I have read other reviews, I understand that I am not the only one who thinks the product came damaged. There is a gap above the domed plunger button, and it cannot be repaired. Additionally, the price of this stuff is too high when you consider what you get.

The thread patterns aren't the same, so there is no use for this combination
3/5

In either case, it is messy and inefficient. As others have pointed out, the grease tube does not thread effectively into the "gun". For a complete understanding of the problem, I looked at both sides. In the first place, the TPIs of the two units are different. As a second issue, the thread designs do not match. The peaked thread is one of two types of threads. The flat cut thread is another type of There is no matching between them. In my attempt to thread it as best I could, I used the following thread. This was then followed by a powerful explosion. To work at the suppliers of these parts, there clearly needs to be a primary packing design engineer involved. It needs redesigning (ingersoll must redesign this one, as I'm part of a team that does it).

I was ripped off! This is an utter rip-off! Despite its small size, the tube of grease cannot be screwed on to the There is an apparent mismatch between the threads! I can only use the bottle of air tool oil, and I can get that for a lot less than I paid for it! There's one sad thing about it it's manufactured in the United States
3/5

October 2015 was the date when I purchased this. There are no stars in this review!.
