It would certainly work on hedge trimmer blades since it is an excellent lubricant to reduce friction between moving metal parts. Although it would eventually wear off with use and its need to be replaced would be the same as any other lubricant It was accepted. The only thing I can suggest that would work better or last longer is something else.

My eldest daughter bought several cans of the stuff on sale and I have yet to utilize them. In response to the fuel lid button no longer working on my wife's Dodge Charger, I took out the fuel cap. As a result, the mechanism is no longer bind and immediately releases when the button is pressed. The stuff worked well and loosened the shaft and spring on the mechanism. It costs $40 for an assortment of 12 pieces). As a result of reviewing the current price, I was a bit shocked by the $50 price tag they are asking for just 12 cans. Although it is a quality product, it is still beyond the norm.
