My small engine worked great, so yes, I just finished it. While building small block chevy engines (mid-60s), I would always use a can of STP and coat every moving part. Ring and all, it would burn off in the cylinder within a short time. And the rest mixed with the engine The strip is a gamble, so never blow a one. Invest in it - it's well worth the money. When the engine is started for the first time, you should have additional lube as well. I am sure that you will enjoy it once you try I remember Bob

What are the differences between it and the version of WD40?

WD40 is a good assembly lube in some cases, but I don't think that it is ideal for use in this application. The gel lube should be used as assembly lube

Reassembly of an engine is easy with this tool

I saw this product recommended in a video on YouTube by a wacky guy, to use when removing small engines from their chassis. It seems to work very well after I tried it. The adhesive sprays on, but doesn't run off so parts fit together well.
