It doesn't seem to occur to many people that a rear differential fluid change is necessary every 60,000 miles on a RWD vehicle. The rear diff fluid in my 2005 Grand Marquis, which I purchased at 155,000 miles, was coal black when I changed it - Clearly there had never been any changes made to it. Ford OEM parts and filters are what I trust on my car, so I used this rear diff fluid. A jack stand and a jack are all you need to do it!.
The fluid must conform to Ford specifications. The content of the article is fine. Gear oils are typically used with a quart bottle pump as is the case with many gear oils. The wide mouth of this quart bottle allows you to pump the whole thing with three hands. Generally, these are not deal breakers, but a heads up would have been good.
I'm using it for my front differential and have had no issues with it.
A lubricant designed by the manufacturer. Having said that, only downside is that it is a little larger than the pump gizmos If you plan on using a pump, make sure you have an oil jug on hand that you can pour the oil into.
It is one of the best replacements I have ever had, of very high.
My vehicle came already equipped with the original Ford equipment, even though it was not the lowest price.
This is an excellent product.
This is the perfect cover for your Ford (duh.
