The purpose of Loctite is to hold fasteners in place. To ensure proper torque, ARP lube is needed. The Loctite band aid is a bandage for what is really a poor engineering design.
If you are not sure if it is required, I recommend contacting the manufacturer. As far as I am aware, it worked great for my ARP head studs In a Ford 6, the head studs are on the back. This engine has no power
By using the ARP LUBE, you will be able to obtain the correct torque value no matter how low the number may be. Our machine is used for every thread that needs to be
There is a conical pattern on the mating surface of lug nuts and wheel bolts. As a result of adding lubricant, the clamp load on the fasteners will be altered, making it more likely they will fail. It is fundamental that threads and mating surfaces be clean, rust free, and free from debris in order to achieve proper wheel fastener torque. Fasteners on alloy wheels may also have a flat clamping surface or washer which must not be lubricated.

When using ARP studs, this is a must-have for putting in the main stud, head stud, and rod studs on blocks. What else The best lube for ARP studs, must have and works and is THE ONLY one to use.
My connecting rod bolts were not able to match the torque value with the torque wrench, so I ended up using it on all of my threaded fasteners that needed precision torque measurements. You have done a great job.
It is the 1st time I have used ARP assy lube and I find that the bolts I have used it on are much tighter than just plain oil. A.
A Torque Assembly Lube that seems to be the top rated product. There is a reason why the products from "ARP" are so expensive, compared to those of their competitors. No, I am not connected to them or work for.

You can learn why assemblies of engine parts that are subject to high torque specifications require this product to mitigate any errors below +/- 5% on APR's web site There was a 5lb torque variation at 200ft lb. Typically, motor oil and other lubes are not designed to handle high torque applications such as head gaskets, rod bolts, and main bearings, causing variations of more than a factor of 2. The torque I use for this stuff is 30lbs -
I use this stuff for every bolt and nut It is recommended to use the same stud assembly regardless of torque specs.
