Questions & Answers

How does this product compare with the aluminum based anti-seize in an 8oz bottle that dries up and becomes hard over time?

When I left the shop in 1998, I had a bottle in my tool box. As of November 2018, it was not entirely full, but brushes on very well. I had to stir it when I used it last (November 2018) because a layer of oil had been added. My garage shelf has a locked cabinet with it. I keep mine tightly closed. Although I'm not certain if the product is still effective, in answer to your question about it drying up, mine did not.

Are there any threads on this that can be used for spark plugs?

You might be able to use this lube on spark plug threads. Be careful not to use too My opinion is that a little use is sufficient for the purposes of the device.

There is a mention of the maximum temperature (2400F) in the description. Can you tell me what the lowest temperature was?

In the datasheet, the following claims are made Temperatures ranging from - to +140 degrees F can be handled by this product A temperature range of 65°F to 2400°F The temperature ranges from 54 to 1316 degrees Celsius). "We recommend that you refer to the Permatex web site and the technical datasheet if you intend to obtain more technical information.".

A piece of garbage was packed so I wasn't able to use the product
3/5

There would be no way to describe how pissed off I was! Since these products cost more than $17 a bottle, I would not buy them if I didn't have a specific need or need it fast! To the idiot at Amazon who packed it, If you pack a liquid in a paper envelope, even when it is lightly padded, then don't do it! The problem was even worse I had stopped at the mail box in my car. There was a smell that I noticed. As I opened the envelope (right and once again, it was not a box), the top had fallen off, spilling crap all over the place! The paper towel I had in the car was such a blessing (and Amazon was too) as it kept the crap off the seats and carpet. Threads made of metal contacting each other should be protected from over 2000 degree heat with this stuff! Did you ever think I would have been able to remove it from The moron who packaged this sort of item, or the moron who approved it to be packaged in this manner, needs to look for another job because, well, because you are a moron!.

I love it
5/5

The reason I chose nickel antiseize is because I wanted a single bottle to handle all my metals rather than have to go through multiple antiseize types due to incompatibility between the In addition, this is probably the less expensive way to go about it. The last time I redid my mind was just a few weeks ago This antiseize was used on the threads of the O2 sensor I coated with this antiseize. To ensure the sensor was torqued properly, it was torqued to a 35 ft-lb limit Weighs 80 pounds. Despite my best efforts, it came off without leverage and in an area that limited my movement. It took a lot of effort to remove the oxygen sensors because of the heat generating catalytic converter, so I think that was a good result. Before doing this I also let my car heat up the cat, which is also helpful. I need to say something, I have one complaint the brush is so full of dust that it's hard to maintain cleanliness. It fills up so I scrape it on the inside neck but I get frustrated with that. My best bet would be to discard some of them. It will last me forever since there is so much in the bottle. To change the thread colors, you need only a TINY amount of it coating the thread, not blobs of it.

This item has to be in the garage
5/5

The product works and does what it is supposed to do, so I had to order another one. In addition to a snowblower and lawnmower, I have a set of electric sit-on mowers I would like my daughter to have a down car. Items in this category get wet, and I have seen the rust from previous owners and equipment next door. have used his product and have never had a problem with seizing due to rust. The main reason is his product contains Nickel, which does not corrode, unlike other products that contain As I work on my items, I always check on the moving parts like the wheel areas and there has been no rust. They are simple to remove when I work on them. The puddles in the neighborhood always seem to be found when my daughter rides her little electric car. My father always examines the wheels assemblies when he cleans her little car, and they are always fine. In addition to my snowblower, I also work on my lawn mower every year, and all the wheel assemblies come off pretty Don't let your investments be ruined by buying this product that contains Nickel.

Manufacturer recommends that slip joints be treated with this lubricant
5/5

On my airplane, I apply Permatex 77134 to the slip joints of the exhaust system. (Slip joints allow a) The exhaust gases from my aircraft run around 1500 degrees Fahrenheit You're on the right track. According to the manufacturer, the slip joints should be disassembled and bead blasted every two years, then polished with a crocus cloth. The Nickel Anti-corrosion compound should then be reapplied. As well as using this product on my spark plug thread, I use it on my crankcase. It is my understanding that Nickel Antimony If you use Seize on automobile exhausts or any thing that has a high temperature, it will work just fine The temperature of the.

Anti seize is pretty pricey, but I need it for a lifetime
4/5

In 1986 I bought a container of anti seize, and this purchase replaced it. Usually, I use anti seize on every fastener I touch, but these days, I don't touch that many fasteners, so if I ever need to disassemble something, the last thing I need is to have broken bolts to add to my Everybody should have some anti-seize in their homes, in my opinion.

It is the right antiseize
5/5

It is the antiseize that works. Using anti-seize containing copper will weaken threads, causing spark plugs to pop out as a result of losing their grip! You should always use anti-seize when you're touching metal to metal on things like spark plugs. It is so widespread that Motorcraft actually has its own version since Modular engines are affected so much by that issue. Make sure that you are using an appropriate anti-virus You can seize it with any application Make sure you've done your research.

Nickel acts as an anti-corrosion additive A bottle of seize was replaced with one left at a friend's house
5/5

Nickel acts as an anti-corrosion additive I replaced a bottle left at the home of a friend with seize. If a nut, bolt, or screw needs to be replaced or reattached, use this tool My vehicles have all been fitted with this system. There is a temperature rating of 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit. The O2 sensors cannot be used with this device. In addition to exhaust manifold bolts, exhaust system bolts, muffler clamps, and tailpipe assemblies, it can also be used as a copper anti-corrosion coating A seize should be avoided at all costs.

It can withstand high heat, more than your engine is capable of handling, so the variable vanes will not be baked on or clogged with gunk.
