Generally, I think you want something that penetrates more deeply. It's more of a coating that you'd spray on something before you assemble it, like wheel studs or the backing plates for disc brakes. I've also used it on shots where I had to press bearings into. For lubricating alone, I agree that you might not be able to get very far with it, particularly if the object you sprayed it on was dry or squeaking. If I had to choose something to go with, I'd go with a penetrating oil containing graphite or perhaps a white grease base. You can put it anywhere and it sticks and stays. It provides a slippery surface, but doesn't really get under furniture or into other spaces. It's just based on my experience of using it, but I think it's a great product.
