There is no doubt that you are getting shortchanged on quantity. However, if the can were full, it would be a lot messier than it is right now. Man, is this stuff messy. As much as I would have liked it to not come with a brush, I would have preferred to do without it. As for the brush, it was designed for heavy duty applications. I used it on 1/4" stainless steel sidewalk bolts. If this brush is too small for a 1 bolt, I would say anything smaller will not work. HF gave me a small brush I got from them for dabbing a little bit from the can onto the bolts. I just unscrewed the lid, pulled it up about an inch, and sprayed a bit on them. My experience with the loctite marine grade anti seize product was good. I used it to attach an engine exhaust manifold and to attach numerous other bolts under heat and moisture that were prone to rust. The paste was thick and adhered well to the bolts. A big bottle that I paid over $17 dollars for as it was supposed to have 8 oz of product and there was maybe 3 oz (i'm an optimist) But isn't the 8oz weight including the bottle, so two stars? In the future, if I decide to purchase the product again, I'll change my review. The container is filled. I hope this will be helpful to.

I used it on my wood stove door and it worked great. I heard an awful squeak as the door to the wood stove opened and closed. The noise was loud enough for us to hear it The squeak stopped when I applied a small amount of this to the door hinge and the hinge pins. It has been three weeks since then, and the wood stove has been constantly used. The smell is gone and the squeak is gone as well. The maximum heat rating for this is 2400 degrees F, so I wanted to use it as a mastic in the wastegate area of my turbocharger. After liberally applying it to the entire area you could smell it burning. There's no way this area can reach the lubricant heat rating even if it were to last. It doesn't appear that the lubricant would hold up to the heat at all.
