Questions & Answers

What is the Moly content of this grease?

Today, I discovered the SDS on their website, which states that the VV985 is a 2. 5% Moly. It is the DuraBlend (VV279) that is 5% to 2010% Moly.

I'm looking for a new zero turn radius mower to grease. Lithium grease is required in this recipe. Is there two lithium grease in this? I apologize for my lack of knowledge in this area. ?

Yes, Valvoline SynPower Synthetic Automotive Grease is a good choice. The NLGI 2 grease 1 oz (VV985) is based on lithium. This item is suitable for use in your lawnmower.

I'm curious about the color of the grease. Black?

It's not completely black, but it's a little brighter.

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me what color it is. ?

Black as night. The old grease from a ball joint is the same color.

It should never turn to liquid at temperatures below 100 degrees, even though it has a temperature rating of 425 degrees
3/5

This grease is marketed as an NLGI 2 GC-certified product. Extreme pressure fortified LB lithium complex EP grease with a temperature rating of -100°F to +200°F. The temperature ranges from 60 to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. br>At temperatures below 95 degrees Fahrenheit, the grease liquefied, leaving a puddle on the floor beneath the grease gun. br>In the front end tie rod ends on my Jeep, the grease liquefied and dripped out of grease cups everywhere the grease was used, leaving the front end of my Jeep without lubrication, resulting in metal-to-metal contact and excessive wear on all of the front end components where this grease had been used. After I wiped the grease gun tube clean and set it down, this drop formed in just a few minutes. br>At ambient temperatures below the grease's upper temperature rating by 300 degrees, no NLGI 2 EP grease should ever turn to liquid!.

Oil is separated and dripped
3/5

This grease separated not only in my gun, but also in the joints I greased, as many others have stated. As a result, I had a pool under my grease gun and spots beneath my vehicles. It's all terrible. I had only used half of the tube before it turned into a useless wax that wouldn't pump with my gun. There will be no more.

Only for professional use
5/5

It is without a doubt the best product I have ever used. when it comes to 4 The same category is represented by five different brands. To the 1* commentators, I have only one comment: After a period of time, ALL greases separate and the grease gun begins to leak. It happens all the time. I'm assuming that all of these negative comments are from amateur mechanics. Before you make a comment, do some research. Peace!.

Synthetic grease at a reasonable price
5/5

This grease is grey in color and synthetic in nature. It complies with all SAE standards for both domestic and Asian vehicles. Because Moog suspension parts require synthetic grease, and I only use Valvoline lubricants, I bought this. It's a good deal for synthetic grease, and you get valvoline quality, durability, and performance for the money. br>br>Just a quick note about the oil separation that drips from the grease gun, which has been mentioned in other reviews. If you leave grease tubes out for long enough, they will do this. That's why there's a product called "gundom" on Amazon, which is a cover that collects the oil drips from the grease gun's bottom. The grease isn't an issue.

Grease made of synthetic materials
5/5

So I do a lot of brake and rotor work on cars and I was looking for a good synthetic grease to put on the backs of the pads and the bolts and I said I wouldn't mind trying this one so I ordered it, it arrived quickly, and I've used it on a few cars and even my own personal car and it's great I put it on control arm bolt caliper bolt shock bolt and it keeps everything nice and greasy and if I have to take anything apart it comes off.

In the grease gun, it dries out
3/5

This product (VV985) appears to be a perfect match for my NLGI 2 lithium complex, moly-based requirements. grease that has been fortified for use in a variety of applications. It's made of synthetic materials, but that's irrelevant to my needs. As a maintenance engineer, I am familiar with my needs and have used some excellent greases. One of them isn't this one. br>br>I'm baffled as to how this product has a four-star rating on Amazon. 7/5. The rating is a 0 out of 10 for approval. Is this a mental institution? Separation of the oil and soap, as well as the grease drying out, have been reported in numerous reviews. I'm not sure if that's the case in this case because there hasn't been any leakage. Right in the grease gun, the grease has hardened to a dark gray, rubbery consistency. It will not flow into the chamber of the gun piston, where it can be pumped. The rest of it is going in the trash, and I'm going to get a new grease gun. Spend your money on something else instead of this grease. Even if it can be pumped, I'm not convinced of its lubricating properties.

Garbage
3/5

It's all a load of nonsense. I despise greasing anything, but if I have to, I want to do it right, so I bought two tubes of this grease, which separated and turned into play doh after three months in a gun. What you do with the grease while it's still usable will drip from the joint like an oil leak and make a mess wherever you park. Grease separation is normal, but this is excessive. br>br>Stick to a cheap regular EP grease that meets your needs; this product is a waste of money.

It is difficult to write a quality review of grease because it is difficult to write a quality review of grease because it is difficult to write a quality review of grease because it is difficult to write a quality review of grease This product does what it's supposed to do and hasn't caused me any problems
5/5

It doesn't seem to harden or dry over time, and it doesn't wash away. I've had a few types of grease leave me with a dry, crusty layer of grease after a period of time in a heat-sensitive application, but this grease has not done so. I've used it to install wheel bearings and ball joints, as well as as a general-purpose grease for a variety of applications. Given the price, I like it not only as a bearing grease, but also as a general purpose grease, which eliminates the need for a separate general purpose grease tub. The best I can say is that I have had no problems with the product's application or use, and I would buy it again based on my experience with it.
