To my mind, it is not the right lube for a firearm. It would be too thick and stiff. There is no migration of the lubricant into tight spaces, like with oil and lubricant.
I'm not sure what it is, but it seems to stick everywhere

It works well.
There's no other way to describe it, it is tacky red grease at its best. In general, I use it anywhere heavy grease is preferred, e. g. on boats, in machinery, on cars, etc. There is no movement of the shafts, splines, gears, etc. When I put it there, it stays there. There are so many great features to this kit, but the best part of them all is the sturdy plastic tub with a screw-on.
My experience has been that it stays in place and does not create any problems. In the past, I have used other Lucas products and found them to be good.
As usual, Lucas Oil products have always met my expectations, and this one met mine as well. I have found that this grease is very thick and is a little harder to move through a bearing packer or grease gun than other greases I have used in the past. The performance of the bearing lasts long in my trailer bearings, and I am pleased with it. There is no doubt in my mind that this product is excellent.
Ensure that the grease is of good quality. It is a great product and I won't hesitate to buy it again when I run out.
These are my favorite things to read. It's a great tool for using on the buckets and zircs of my tractor. The stuff holds on really well and is quite sticky. You can clean up easily with WD-40 The consistency of this grease is thicker than ordinary.
You can take it to wherever you need it and it serves as an impermeable liquid barrier/lubricant for moving parts. Home mechanics will appreciate the quality of this stuff.
