Since I have been using it instead of oil to lubricate my handguns and rifles (you don't need much), it is working great and I have never had any problems with it.

This has a green / blue, not just blue, touch to it over its thickness. As long as it is thin, it makes no difference what color it is, light will pass through it.

In heavy duty antenna rotators, we used this to lubricate the bearing assemblies. You will find that this excess will tend to drip and run off your drooping area if you put too much on it. Take what you need when you need it.
