In cars, it can also be used as a protectant for electrical connections since it is the perfect lubricant for rubber parts. The pins and boots for calipers and pistons are fixed with it. Definitely a great product, especially if you want to avoid hardening or softening rubber.

This stuff is becoming harder to find in this size 12 ounce tub and I was surprised at how much it cost after I bought it. (Now, there's no doubt in my mind that this stuff is terrific, and you would be hard pressed to find a different product that works as well as this, there's one I've Having said that, I always keep two tubs handy at all times one contaminated (for brakes) and one that isn't (contaminated). I use one of these for anything I want virgin grease in - nice and clear. It does not eat rubber or plastic. This is the most important feature about this product. Be confident when you buy.
