I really like this
5/5

About 1999 is the first time I used it. I have yet to be disappointed by him. The cleaner is gentle, so if you do need some heavy duty chemical cleaning, which is typically not good for transmissions in the first place, then this stuff will not do much for your transmission. This product will indeed make a big difference if you use it a few times in a short amount of time along with changing the filter.

there is an additive and/or flush that works, I believe this one does, and at the very least, it shouldn't cause I don't have double blind testing to prove this product is effective, but I have a bit of transmission experience, as I'm currently on transmission #4 in my 2006 Chevy TBSS - this is the first time I have used this accessory
4/5

Built by a nationally known specialty shop, this GM4L70e qualifies as a "Level V" vehicle. yet another rebuild was going to be needed because it was making a horrible noise when hot (whack! The whack The 1-inch whack), the 2-inch 2), otherwise it was like missing a gear of The recording was also interrupted from time to time by noises and motions, including a significant amount of slippage. Despite looking brown and smelling like clutch and friction lining, the fluid looked like brown water. There's an awful, nasty smell of burned wood. Usually that brown stuff in the clutches is the material suspended in the fluid that acts like little bits of sand paper, clogging passages and generally causing problems. After doing a lot of research on various bitog forums, I finally purchased this Lubegard kit solely because I had nothing to lose (I had already purchased the replacement transmission). After adding the flush product and running the truck for a period of time as instructed, I was completely satisfied. Cooler - for the M In that case, I bypass the radiator integrated cooling system also known as the death trap) and lines with a product designed specifically for it. My next step was to pump out the old fluid from the cooler line about 3 quarts at a time, then to add 3 quarts of new fluid, and to repeat. When it was 18 quarts, everything looked perfect. However, when I dropped it (I lost about 3 quarts, but it wouldn't have been necessary to not be thorough) I cleaned the pan magnet that looked like a wire wheel brush (ouch! and placed the additive, and topped off the fluid again. A two-word summary of the book 2) shift problems still exist, but I expected it to be so. I'll tell you that story another time. Nevertheless, the slippage is not present anymore Everything is well and there are no horrible sounds, and the tranny works just as well after an hour as it did when it was A trip was significantly worse the longer it lasted before it began to behave more poorly. There's a chance that the additive and flush did nothing and that improvement is due to the fluid and filter change (which had been fairly foul and plugged) and the general cleaning of the cooler and lines. However, if nothing else, it would be great to hear from you In contrast to stories like "my old transmission worked fine until I flushed it after 120,000 miles, causing it to fail completely", this is true. Three months later, the plant died" In my experience, that is not the case. As a matter of fact, I purchased the additive part of this kit separately for my daughter's 1999 Honda Civic EX after it went through a second rebuild, because the external solenoids would throw codes and the shifting and torque converter lock up were not as consistent or smooth as I expected. The car still throws codes about the external shift solenoids since it was added, but they are not as frequent, and the shifts and torque converter lockup are smoother and more consistent. There might be a better friction modifier for you than the additive, although it's a friction modifier. Despite this, Lubegard products contain a lot of science, many transmission builders swear by them, and even Honda, notorious for its transmissions breaking if any fluid other than Honda fluid is used, issued a service bulletin regarding the use of the additive when certain symptoms are present. Lubegard's staff is very easy to reach and even after you've looked at their website you might need to get in touch to decide which product is best for your specific You can find a great deal of information on the website, but do not guess if you are not If I observe the fluid in a bad state (IE, observing the fluid in a horrible state), I will use the additive in my next transmission, and I will use the flush again if I think I need it.
