There are only a few issues. The first thing I noticed was that there were some metal shavings inside that I needed to clean up. Having those in your transmission is not a good thing. The next issue was that I had placed an order for two of these items. Wasn't it supposed to be the same? Well. One was covered in red loctite, while the other was covered in blue loctite. Aside from that, the two appeared to be the same. The one with blue thread sealer, on the other hand, had a lot of issues with the lock clip that keeps the hose in place. It's as if the clip's grooves were cut incorrectly. I even tried moving the clips from the old one to different slots, but they wouldn't fit and thus wouldn't hold the hose in place. After a while, I gave up and just took the o-. Remove the ring from the new one and replace it with the one I previously had. In retrospect, I wouldn't have bothered to replace these because it was only the hoses that were leaking, but there was that one time when I replaced hoses on a different vehicle and it started leaking from the jiffy connection as well, so I try to replace jiffy connections whenever I replace hoses. br>br>I was hesitant to buy because Amazon claims it won't fit my 2013 Town and Country, but I found out it does from another source. And they appear to be the same; I believe one of them had a flaw when I received it. br>br>It was difficult for me to track down these. If you truly require them, I would suggest purchasing them from a dealer. They'll most likely cost a little more, but you won't have any problems.
Make sure you do everything correctly. To begin, I'd like to state that I've been purchasing Dorman parts for a long time and that everything has gone smoothly in the majority of cases. This time, I bought two of the "Quick Disconnects part 800-" instead. For a 2009 Dodge Caravan SXT, you'll need a 724" and the necessary Dorman Transmission cooler lines. Unfortunately, after spending a considerable amount of time attempting to determine why one of the lines would not properly lock in, One of the Quick Disconnects wasn't up to spec, so I figured it out. It wouldn't work if it wasn't properly ed/machined. If you want to do this job correctly, I recommend using the Mopar parts listed below. (Qty 1) 05005204AG (5005204AG), (Qty 2) 068034089AA, (Qty 2) 04800267AA (4800267AA), and (Qty 2) 04800267AA (4800267AA). The specifications for these parts must be extremely precise. FYI: I've been working on cars for far too long to notice that aftermarket parts are deteriorating, but Dorman has always met my tolerance requirements. I'll be returning the Quick Disconnects to Amazon and will keep you updated on the results. I appreciate your taking the time to read this.
Following the previous review, I received the red loctite version; however, I had some difficulty inserting the hose, which I attribute to corrosion on the outside of the metal hose. After 10 minutes with WD40 on the hose and a thorough cleaning, I went in and sat comfortably.
Great product; I prefer it to the one from the factory!.
