There was a tiny hairline crack on the old bowl that was hard to see but let quite a bit of air out. that everything is quiet in the shop, there is no one to bother.

A similar one lasted for 20 years before I got one just like this

It took me 20 years to finish my last one just like this. The new housing was a perfect replacement, screwing straight into the old one and fitting It comes with a fancy new bowl retainer and a brand new optical drive. Ring the bell. You know already that Milton did a great job.
