Can this be used on a common rail diesel engine?

I'd say yes! A diesel engine vehicle can make use of it. A vacuum tube is plugged into the engine of the machine

Is it not possible to connect a schrader valve or a fuel rail to it?

The pump cannot be connected to a Schrader valve or fuel rail, and no external pressure is required. A suction tube is connected to the intake manifold for the purpose of working together.

The vacuum can be replaced by an air compressor, but could it be adapted for use with an air compressor instead?

You cannot connect compressed air to it, it is not equipped with a port.

How is this machine used to clean the catalytic converter? Which brand / type of cleaner is used with it?

You may use any brand or type of cleaner whose gas tank can be added to this machine. Examples are Cataclean 120007, OXICAT, DURA LUBE HL-300. Please note "402409, etc." as the ISO code.

I think it's top notch! Very good quality, comes with everything you need to get it to work, just have to say that I have used it for the first time tonight on my 88 fierce and I am very impressed, car runs flawlessly! I am very happy with this purchase, and the price was well worth it! Excellent! I recommend anyone to try it! When I worked at my previous job, I used to use this for a full intake/combustion chamber cleaning service, but this one works

A minimum of one use is made of it each day. I'm so glad I spent the money on it! It's also great that the hose and valve are clear since you can see the flow of the water. I am very satisfied with this.

I liked the way it worked. Sea foam was run through the intake and it was cleaned of carbon built up on a gdi motor that was running bad. I no longer have a misfire, and it is running well.

You can't use induction cleaning solution on this tool! This feature is not functioning properly

Conceptually, this is a great idea, but execution was mediocre. It took me one use to melt the hoses on the tool. The hoses of a fuel induction cleaner must not be able to resist clean induction chemicals, how is that possible? It becomes clogged due to the hoes being gooey, which damages the tool portion.
