Questions & Answers

Is there a single pack with 12 cans?

Only one was given to me. I am certain I did not receive 12. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is it safe and effective to use this on aluminum engine and transmission parts that have been corroded by battery acid?

Baking soda is what neutralizes acid in the first place. It doesn't react to metals that aren't the same.

There are numerous applications for batteries that aren't just for automobiles
5/5

I had this can sitting in my garage for several weeks, unused, because I had replaced my car battery and was no longer in need of corrosion removal. However, during a recent power outage in Texas, I pulled out four LED lanterns that I thought were ready to use, only to discover that the AA batteries had been left in them for several years. THEY HAD EXPOSED THEIR IDENTIFICATION. I was about to toss the lanterns out the window when I came across this amazing spray. It disinfected and resurrected all four lanterns. I sprayed it on, waited 30 seconds, then sprayed it again with a short burst of water from my kitchen sink hand wand, figuring I had nothing to lose since I was going to throw the lanterns away. I was so impressed that I used this application to save the situation.

I've been a professional automotive technician for 29 years and know what works and what doesn't
5/5

This is the most effective corrosion-prevention product I've used. It's cost-effective, and it simply works. br>br>I've tried every other brand out there, from Permatex to BG, and I keep coming back to this. br>br>The key is to start with the terminals and let it soak. After that, I rinse it off with tap water before hitting it again. After that, I use a wire brush to clean the terminals and work the mix. Rinse it again, then dry it with compressed air or a hair dryer. br>br>I always use the NoCo red protector spray as a finishing touch. I've had cars return a year later and everything is still clean and in order, even though I just serviced the terminals. br>br>Food for thought: if you're having corrosion issues, it's probably due to a leaking battery. It's usually a good idea to start thinking about replacement as soon as possible.

On my older vehicle, it worked like a charm! My 2008 RAV4 had been acting strangely, as if it didn't have quite as much power as it once did - But it wasn't until my car wouldn't start one day that I realized I needed to check the battery and conductors
5/5

I looked at a few brands and ended up buying this product on sale, but I bought it because of its reputation rather than because I needed something that would work - I couldn't believe the amount of green acid corrosion that had formed on both sides of the battery conductors when I removed the battery cover panel to actually remove everything with this spray, rather than the DIY methods I'd seen online. cables. I turned away and sprayed a liberal amount all over, and it started eating up the vile stuff and fizzing off almost immediately. After waiting five minutes, I filled an empty bottle with tap water and flushed out the remaining gunk, and it looked fantastic! Because it was so thick at the start, I did it again for good measure, focusing more on the cables and any areas I may have missed. They're now gleaming clean and look fantastic after the second rinse - Keep in mind that this is a 12-year-old spare vehicle that has never received the required treatment. I would strongly suggest it. Make sure you don't make your own mix - Make use of this, it's fantastic.

This stuff breaks down the light surface stuff on the terminals and makes it easy to clean up/rinse off with water, so it works for the most part
4/5

However, if there is a significant amount of the blue stuff on the battery terminals, this will not completely remove it. You'll have to loosen the stuff a few times and reapply it, especially if it's caked in between the screw and terminal clamp ends. As a result, you use a great deal. But it seems to work pretty well once I loosen up the stuff. Just don't expect everything to be spotless after a few zaps.

It'll be fine
4/5

I was underwhelmed by this spray. The following are the reasons for this: 1. br>br> It's far too sloppy. It splattered all over the place and left a nasty residue on other components under the hood.
2. What does it mean to be clean? It didn't clean as well as the manufacturer claimed. It did get some of the battery acid out, but it also made a bigger mess, so I'll have to clean up after it. br>br>The one thing I'd say is that if I'm in a hurry and lazy, I'll probably grab this can and use it to clean up the mess instead of doing more of the hands-on work to remove the battery acid. As a result, it's a give-and-take situation.

In my club car, it cleans the battery terminals
5/5

This spray worked wonders on my 48 volt club car's lead acid battery terminals. I use it once a season, rinse it off, let it dry, and then coat it in their red corrosion-prevention spray. In case some acid bubbles out of the caps while charging, I also made some polyester towels soaked in baking soda and cut to fit each strip over the terminals.

Wow, you've really impressed me! I used it on a three-and-a-half-year-old yellow top Omni battery that had started to leak sulfuric acid
5/5

It had a lot of acid mushrooms growing on it. It was immediately cleaned and the acid was neutralized by this stuff. I followed the instructions and sprayed it on, letting it sit for a few minutes before wiping it away. It works perfectly.

It's a fantastic tool that's incredibly simple to use
5/5

Wow, what a great product. It does exactly what it says and is very easy to use. I had a large pile of acid corrosion buildup and sprayed this product on it, waited 3 minutes, and it was all gone.
