Yes, to put it simply. That is precisely what this product is designed to accomplish. Chemical cleaners, on the other hand, can only clean oxidized contacts to a certain extent. Contacts that are heavily oxidized will not help much. However, crc is very useful for most of our electronic equipment that is protected (stored indoors). This liquid appears to be particularly irritating to the skin, so keep an eye on it. Otherwise, everything is as it should be- Especially in small, cramped spaces where it's impossible to burnish electrical contact points by hand. mike h.
More electrical parts are needed. For gun parts, Brakekleen is preferable.
This is mostly used to clean bearings. I may discolor the plastic, but it will not harm it if used in moderation.
For plastics, this is not the right product. Use their QD electronics cleaner to keep your electronics in good working order.

In the write-up, it specifically mentions "sensitive electronic equipment" and "plastics. " I bought it specifically to clean the inside of my Roomba after a cat had gotten inside. poop- It said it could be used to clean plastic, which was a disaster. All of the plastics were shattered! Every single clear plastic sensor on the bottom cracked, as did all of the plastic parts that held it together on the sides. I tried supergluing the pieces back on, which is absurd, but it's a $900 Roomba 980, so I bought this specialty cleaner for it. Little plastic pieces simply fell off without my touching them - It appeared as if they were attempting to expand or something, as they cracked. Oh, and the rubber wheels were also melted - However, it's possible that I'm to blame - It didn't specify whether or not it could be used on rubber. I spent $900 to use this spray.
It was completely deceptive, and it could have cost me tens of thousands of dollars. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT PLASTIC SAFE, despite the fact that it is not mentioned on the label. I used a very small amount of it on the contacts on my aircraft's ground power supply/charger, plugged it in, and it exploded into small pieces shortly after. I've noticed similar comments in other reviews. In many ways, this product is unsafe, and I would avoid using it on any components, especially plastic. br>br>From the documentation, here is some SPECIFIC language, which includes BATTERY CHARGERS.
- It's made to be used on energized machinery.
- The following are some examples of applications: air tools, alternators, battery chargers, bearings, cables, chains, clutches, compressors, dies, generators, grinders, motors, pumps, and more are among the products available.
Although this material appears to be excellent, there is one caveat: Remove the brushes first if you're working on an AC motor with brushes! One of my brushes was damaged as a result of this, and I had to completely re-wire the motor. After that, you can profile the brush. br>br>Also, keep in mind: If you're going to spray down a motor and then start it up, make sure you cover the exhaust. I didn't wait long enough, and a massive cloud of cleaner rained down on the power lines. Because this stuff doesn't like some plastics, I'm glad I took off my glasses first. br>br>In any case, a good product, but not for every application.
Great stuff, I used to use this as a kid to clean the bearings on my old skateboard. I just used it to clean the screw drive on my garage door opener, and it was very effective at cutting through the grease. Also, I used up the entire can and could have probably gone through another one to get it completely clean. br>br>When working with this solvent, be cautious around plastic because it eats through styrofoam. Also, wear safety goggles. I'd also avoid wearing prescription glasses with plastic lenses (unless they're covered with safety goggles, because I'm afraid this stuff will eat them).
If you've ever disassembled a DC motor (or watched a YouTube video), you know how critical it is to keep the motor commutators and brushes clean, especially with smaller motors where even a small amount of corrosion or gunk can significantly reduce performance and efficiency. After blasting the brush/commutator area with this stuff, I use it on RC cars after particularly dirty runs, and you can see (and hear) the motor turn faster. It doesn't take much, and it has a significant impact. I'm very pleased with this product because it comes in a large bottle.
This is fantastic. My electric lawn mower's motor had gone bad, I thought. As a last resort, I tried this, and it now works perfectly. Now I have to figure out how to clean the garage floor of the mess.
It's a good product, but it's pricey, so I ordered more.
This item was purchased to remove several motor oil stains from our new driveway's pavers. It did an excellent job, and after two or three tries, you'd never know the spots were there. I sprayed in the shade and washed each spot with water instead. Wear a mask and protective gloves, and use a brush with a long handle. The odor is strong, and I'm not sure how healthy it is to breathe it in.
