It is surprising how well it performs given that it was not designed for the purpose it was intended for, and I rarely write reviews since I rarely use products that are not intended for their intended purpose anyway. This bottle is half full of gear oil, which I used in my Harley Davidson Sportster's 5 speed transmission. For this specific Harley, there is a shared oil supply between the transmission and the chain of the primary chain that connects the engine to the transmission. It is quite amazing that using this product I was able to significantly reduce the noise when shifting gears to the point that sometimes when I was shifting into first gear from neutral there almost was no noise to be heard. I even found that this product was better than Amsoil in this respect. My motorcycle transmission is now much quieter because of this product.
It worked the first time I tried it. Despite the fact that it is a short-term fix, it provides me with the outcome I need. Hard shifts, slipping, or no shifts at all are symptoms. A try would be worth it.
The bar's definitely had an effect on the hard shifting and is a lot softer now (but still discernible). In the end, I will have to have the transmission rebuilt, but this "quick fix" has definitely extended the time it will take for it to completely fail.
A transmission leak was a problem I did not want to fix. I have only had to treat the leak once, and it hasn't returned since.
