Questions & Answers

How do you control it without the thermostat?

Kits like that are usually included with them.

The kit is for 2002 Ford FXSTs. Does it fit?

I am happy to answer any questions you may have. It will fit on your FXST, yes.

Do you think this will fit my 2020 road glide ?

If you are unsure, check part numbers for your particular model of bike

This would fit a 2001 Road King Classic, right?

As a plug and play kit, it comes with the oil filter nipple adapter you need to change if necessary. A fatboy suited me just fine, and I needed to make no changes to it. After installing the oil filter housing, the antirotation adapter, the cooler, and the lines, it was time to install the oil The temperature of the water stays above 200 even in the hottest weather. This used to run at 230 to 240 before it had an adapter. It's a given that bigger bikes get the 10 row. To prevent road junk from getting into the horizontal cooler, I bought the vertical

Cools the oil great and keeps it at a good temperature
5/5

I've found this setup to be very useful. The oil tank in my car keeps cool enough to prevent my leg from feeling It looks like all of the machining was done well. I like how the oil cooler looks and fits my sportster perfectly. It is very easy to install. The company should provide torque specs with this, would have saved me a few hours of chasing a leak if it provided torque specs for the fasteners. It was easy to over torque a couple of the fasteners, it took me taking it apart twice to find the The product still gets 5 stars since I made the mistake, not the product. It is the heat that kills Harleys. You still love it after 6000 miles? It still looks and feels great even with the cheap hose clamps that came with the kit, right? Over time, they will slowly loosen and a very small amount of oil will begin to accumulate around the hoses on the thermostat and the cooler. Every couple thousand miles, these need to be tightened again. It also seems the thermostat does not come on at 185 degrees, but a few degrees Considering this kit does not work if you ride your Harley for more than 20 miles at a time. A kit like this will be useful if you ride your Harley 500 miles at a time.

3 days early! I was thrilled to receive this product
5/5

This is a very useful tool. 3 days early! I was thrilled to receive this product. I like it very much! In addition to the cooler I had, I added another cooler that didn't work. The hint is The cooler that you need alone should suffice, if you are adding a second cooler and you don't need the filter adapter. It was only after I bought this kit that I learned this. The lower oil temperature actually causes the oil pressure to be higher. I no longer have a working ETMS! During a hard day of riding, I can feel a difference in less power fade.

There is a problem with the thermostat
3/5

This kit helped keep my XL1200R running at a high temperature. Maintaining proper temperature is crucial for the longevity of your engine. I am unable to turn on the thermostat. Temperature at which oil flows to the cooler begins to rise is quite high, rather than 185 degrees as specified by the As I've confirmed, my temperature gauge is operating correctly. I replaced the thermostat without having any effect. I can still use this cooler since it won't let the temperature to rise above 240 degrees no matter how hard I ride, but.

It works fine
4/5

You only need to replace the two It works fine. The two short screws are black oxide, so replace them with stainless steel, since you would damage them if you tried to torque them the same way as the others.
