You should be able to connect it to your Chevy truck as long as you mount it securely I had to get some adapters from autozone to hook it up but it worked great for me
My 2011 Jeep Wrangler is working great since I installed it! It seems to me that no reason would exist for it not to work for your application, too.

A new update for 2018 is available It was found that the fan was in good working order. There was a problem with the Now I have two fans running and the room is as cool as it will get. In Salt River Canyon, the transmission temperature peaked at 230° during the middle of the day after towing the trailer and stayed around 190° while driving without the trailer last year. In the first place, let me say this When I ordered from TruTrans, the package was packed reasonably well and delivered on time. The front guard had to be removed and a few small modifications made so that it could fit between the old trans cooler and the replacement guard. In my calling Hayden and customer service, I was told that installation parts do not come with this model. Therefore, you will need hose, clamps, and some way to attach it (the brackets are not integral, so you will need to bolt them on). In order to control the fan (otherwise it will run all the time the key is on), you'll need a wiring harness with a relay and a thermostat. About $50 in additional costs is involved. The cooler is great, but make sure you have the extra parts on hand when you begin mounting it.
