Questions & Answers

I have an S10 ZR2 with 4 cylinders and I was wondering whether this work on it. ?

You should be able to connect it to your Chevy truck as long as you mount it securely I had to get some adapters from autozone to hook it up but it worked great for me

Could this be used with a 1963 C10 with a 350 engine?

My 2011 Jeep Wrangler is working great since I installed it! It seems to me that no reason would exist for it not to work for your application, too.

Can anybody tell me how to install this on a 2011 JKU if I want to tow a 2885lb trailer with it?

With the 679 cooler, which can tow up to 10,000 pounds, the remote cooler 526 works great

Please tell me what this unit's gross vehicle weight rating is. ?

It would be recommended (even with the fan failing)
4/5

A new update for 2018 is available It was found that the fan was in good working order. There was a problem with the Now I have two fans running and the room is as cool as it will get. I kept the oil temperature on my air-conditioning system way down with this cooler. Motor with a cooling system. Due to the extreme weight of my vehicle, the hills I drive, and the low power of my vehicle, I'm using (2). My old setup consisted of 2 plumbed coolers that were literally falling apart. These coolers mounted almost exactly in line with the previous two. It is pretty quickly evident that they move some air, which has a cooling effect on oil temperatures. The only issue I had was with one of the fans. Other than that, both are running smoothly. Though I do not think this is a huge manufacturing defect, it could be seen as a potential issue both short and long term. The manufacturers have been contacted directly to investigate replacing the defective part under warranty. Even with that, I recommend them with the same open mind. As far as I can tell, they are very well made, heavy, and keep cool in my laptop There are three things to remember One fan failed after less than two years of use, though under very hot conditions (albeit), despite being used moderately. It installed quickly and without difficulty
3) It cools things down quite a bit
4) It is sturdy enough to be mounted on the outside of my vehicle
5) I wish the attached wires were longer (by default I have short arms). It specified colors more clearly (and therefore less picky) and was more standardized. The black is for the ground, while the red is for the.

So far, the best investment I've made for my truck
5/5

The weather is hot in Arizona! In Salt River Canyon, the transmission temperature peaked at 230° during the middle of the day after towing the trailer and stayed around 190° while driving without the trailer last year. Driving around, this year, my transmission stayed between 150° and 198° and topped out at 198° hauling through the canyon. The trailer hitch is a must-have for anyone living in Arizona and hauling a trailer.

It is good but not durable due to the crimps
3/5

In the first place, let me say this When I ordered from TruTrans, the package was packed reasonably well and delivered on time. The Hayden 526 Oil Cooler I bought for the test bench I built in March 2019 was my first. October was the first month it was used. The oil temperature was below 180 degrees Fahrenheit and 40 degrees Celsius during the period I had it. It appears to be 55 psi based upon Originally cooling 10W30 oil with it, but upgraded to 20W50 to get a better cooling effect. In addition to disconnecting the hoses, I also had to completely drain the test system and install a bypass valve while the system was apart. I cut the hoses to their barb tips for this process. I pulled the first hose - The meeting went as expected with no problems. Once you pulled the second hose, the crimp between the barb and the first fin would open. The issue has been retried It crumbled when I crimped it with a needle nose pliers. After I had yanked the rest of that hose off, I ordered a new one on December 23rd, 2019. The reason I chose that method is because it was the fastest fix and I had a deadline. The delivery by TruTrans was excellent and my order arrived Towards the middle of the year Shipping at some of the fastest speeds ever recorded - This time of the year, in particular. Having just used brazed radiators in this build, I think I will be using only them in future builds. In order to work around the problem, I installed short hoses with extra AN6 connectors and unions, so I could disconnect those hoses if I needed to Without ever pulling hoses off barbs on the second radiator, you can service it without ever having to take hoses off. I was pleased with the rest of the unit - When the fan runs, the temperature drops by 20F when oil is flowing through it.

It is compatible with the Mazda Navajo 1994 with some minor In 1994, I began to notice a leak coming from my Following the replacement of the front seal and the installation of everything back up, I wanted to take some more preventive measures so that I would not have to repeat the whole process
5/5

The front guard had to be removed and a few small modifications made so that it could fit between the old trans cooler and the replacement guard. Currently, I am wiring everything up to a switch after mounting everything back up again. While I do not use a temperature gauge, I do know when I'm approaching steeper grades with camping gear and my motorcycle carrier loaded with my DRZ400, so I just flip the switch and my brain just switches on. It has not caused me any further problems since it was installed.

I got it to work but I'll have to order more parts! You typically get a baggie of this stuff along with your transmission cooler nylon tie downs, hose clamps, hose, and so on
4/5

I only received A new replacement was sent to me by Amazon customer service but again no parts were included with it. In my calling Hayden and customer service, I was told that installation parts do not come with this model. Therefore, you will need hose, clamps, and some way to attach it (the brackets are not integral, so you will need to bolt them on). In order to control the fan (otherwise it will run all the time the key is on), you'll need a wiring harness with a relay and a thermostat. About $50 in additional costs is involved. The cooler is great, but make sure you have the extra parts on hand when you begin mounting it.

I think the product idea is great
5/5

Please be careful when it comes to fit and dimension. It was an awesome idea according to the professional mechanic whom I hired to install it for me We are referring to both the larger cooler surface, the attached fan, and the thermostatic switch to control the fan (bought separately). There is a problem with this cooler. It is too large and won't fit in In the unlikely event that you're open to the idea of putting this cooler in front of your radiator (per Hayden's instruction), then yes, it would have fit my car. However, I will leave that space open to house a front door After I mount the intercooler, I'll install it. As a result, this item (Hayden 526) would not fit in the limited space where the factory stock trans fluid cooler is located. The dimensions noted on this listing are different from those that appear on Amazon sometimes when this product is listed. At present, I am going to buy a different/smaller Hayden cooler (the 677), which is built with the same plate/fin concept, but doesn't include a Also, separately, I'm going to buy a fan for the smaller 677 Hayden cooler, and will mount it to a 7" (or perhaps it was 8") automotive fan. - Despite having a larger surface area than my stock cooler, the 677 still has twice as much cooling capacity. I will still be able to accomplish what I want with an additional fan.
