Questions & Answers

Whether this synthetic R134a can be mixed with older R134a or if it is needed to air out the system ?

I used AC Pro, I had a different brand of a/c in my truck (from AutoZone for a cheap price)*br>I just added AC Pro You must not overfill the jar. It is not necessary for me to evacuate the a/c For more than 2 years now, all has been well.

The refrigerant used in these are the same as those used in all American cars, vans, etc. ?

Furthermore, this can help convert almost any car from the 1970s onward so that you can use this R-Type for any car There will be 134 vacancies if this action is taken. It's just a matter of getting another can I would like to add 134a to it without the gauge. 1 to 4) It may be necessary to bring 2 additional cans (depending on how large the vehicle is). A brief description of the An auto parts store can install a retrofit kit to connect the 134a/R12 line to the older model vehicles, just ask for it. Before adding new freon, all that needs to be done is to remove the old one. I can think of only one The reason why 134a is not always compatible with cars manufactured before the mid 1970s is how the old cars' air conditioner hoses were constructed. As a result, the R-s are under pressure It is probable that 134 leaks from the hose connections since it is a bit higher. For your information Since it's not more than 10 PSI for ac shops, I've never placed it in that old of a vehicle to confirm, but I believe it's rumored to make more money for them? My opinion is that it is The majority of my work has been converting cars from the 80s up to date without any issues. One retrofit I have on my car requires that I store it with my a/c kit instead of leaving it on my car. It may take a little longer to cool older cars that were built to run on R12, but as far as everything else goes, it will work just fine. When filling with new R-134a, regardless of whether the a/c is only blowing hot air, you must still relieve the pressure from the lower side of the system before filling with the new R-134a The A.134a. Despite that, I have never had a vacuum pump to draw it down the proper way, but they have all worked fine for years. Yeah, I know I'm doing a bad job on our ozone. Even if we were to use all the crap Harrison units that the government ignored for decades on all their cars, we would still not put as much into the air as GM and their junk Harrison cars did.

I am looking for a California version. What should I do?

The Golden State

Is there a gauge that I need in this kit to install the air conditioner. ?

The gauge on the device, which you calibrate to the outside air temperature before charging, is temperature sensitive. For myself, I just use it to reach the green zone on the gauge, or when the air conditioning is blowing cold air into my hands while driving. If it is overcharged, its purpose will be defeated.

The product works, but the risk of injury is high
3/5

This can be a safety hazard. It is connected to the AC line without any problems. A light squeeze of the trigger mechanism immediately caused the gauge to move into the red. A hose connected to a canister was unplugged from the gauge and contents began spewing uncontrollably. Before I could throw it across the yard, the spray sprayed all over the side of my pickup truck, apparently due to a defective canister cut off valve. After the canister episode, I was able to bleed off the pressure and get back into the green zone. I am not excused for the demise of the pressurized coolant it was added refrigerant that improved AC cooling. Thanks to heavy gloves and protective eyewear, I was protected from the elements. There is no recommendation I can make for.

Here is some important information before you use this! We all have different degrees of luck when it comes to our A/C, and some may be able to restore their system within five minutes, while others may not be so lucky and could potentially ruin their entire 1

Make sure your compressor is at full speed. In order to avoid damaging the compressor, the computer will automatically shut down the compressor when the system has been emptied of Freon. It is usually not running if there is no activity on it, which indicates that There are horrible instructions on the can, such as forcing coolant into the compressor to get it to run. DO NOT follow that advice. You will need to manually engage the clutch for the compressor by looking at the manual. If you need to jump some fuses, you should ensure you are comfortable doing it. Please read the comments that follow, the gauge is a bunch of BS, so don't use The assumption is that each car is a "one size fits all" when it comes to pressure. There is no such thing as this. You can check the pressure specifications by looking up online, they could be anywhere from 35 to 60 psi The barometric pressure may be as high as 65 psi or even higher. 3. You'll want to verify the precise amount of refrigerant that your vehicle uses. AIR CONDITIONING 17 oz of Freon (R-134a) is needed to cool my 2009 Malibu I had a can of 20 ounces of 134a). Adding coolant and checking the air conditioner until the cold air was blowing kept me cool. Then, I checked the can and found that there was some amount left in the bottom, which made me think I had the right quantity. that every car is different, so you may need to rev your engine to more than 1000 rpm in some cases You can spin the compressor as if your car were running by adjusting the pressure from 1500 to 1500. The $70 extra that you'll pay to have a professional handle the filling might be worth it if the can was $20 and a garage would have charged $90 to As a conclusion, I must say that The present day automobile is difficult to deal with. Essentially, the vehicle is a computer on wheels, so if you're not careful, you can easily break something. Thank you, I hope it was helpful.

A bad quality item cannot be returned, so it must be avoided
3/5

has to be the worst experience I have ever had with a product or a seller, but Amazon customer support was very quick to resolve the issue for me, so I am very grateful for it. My first complaint is that this item can't be returned because it has pressured gas in it, which I didn't know before I purchased it. A second problem was the item had problems out of the box, the needle on the pressure gauge did not move and pointed to the red zone even before it was used. The third problem was bad quality, after removing the protective cap and reinstalling the spray head, the spray was leaking no matter how tight I tried to reinstall It was offered as a replacement but refused a refund or a replacement so the seller asked for a picture of the damaged part. A picture can't show a broken needle and leaking gas, can it? It is my responsibility to contact Amazon about the refund. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Ensure that the container does not overflow
3/5

An included gauge will not give you the information you need. You can fill up your system too quickly and actually cause performance to suffer. There was still a slight breeze from the air conditioner, but it was not as strong as before. By attempting to charge the system this way, I overfilled the system, which caused the compressor to shut down. It was overfilled and after my research showed that I needed to bleed out almost all of what I put into it, I was without air conditioning for two days.

I made a few changes to it and it worked as intended
5/5

The product worked as advertised, and I had no difficulty using the pressure gauge or following the directions. As a result of reading all the reviews, I did not fill the tank to the line according to the gauge to avoid pressurizing the air conditioning unit. In order to fill the system in my car, I filled it up to the point where the AC blew around 50 degrees, which was indicated by the bottom line of my Subaru Impreza 2013 was used in the installation of this product.

I'm very pleased with the product
5/5

I was able to restore the air conditioning on my Earlier in the day, I had just been saying how great the AC on my 1997 Ford Expedition had been all these years, when it suddenly stopped blowing cold air. Thanks to this product, I was able to get it going again. I saw a TV commercial for this product, and Amazon had it at a great price, so I decided to give it a try. My first step was to follow the simple directions when it arrived, and presto (!). After a short period of time, the air conditioner started blowing cold again. For more than a year, the air conditioner has been functioning properly, so not having to hire an expensive AC repairman was a wise decision. I very much appreciate you keeping me in your thoughts,.

It's great to use ac pro
5/5

The compressor clutch is not turning on in an air conditioner that is blowing warm air. Connected the ac pro to the lower port, adjusted the air so that it is all the way up while the car is running. While rocking bottle back and forth, I squeezed the trigger to release freon into the port. In no time, the clutch engaged and was running watch gauge until I reached about 34 psi. It took 20 oz to use it all Checked the air vent and it was blowing ice cold air. It only takes five to ten minutes to complete the job.

As far as I can tell, it seems to work
5/5

In order to charge my minivan, I used it. It must have been low pressure (not cool air) but still not so low that the clutch did not I will check AC in the spring and update this review then to see if there have been any leaks. As it's fall, I'm not using AC right now, but I will check it in the spring. A well-designed product that is easy to use. This hose was an added bonus for me since my connector is along the firewall at the rear of the car. Since the long hose was long, I was able to rock the contents back and forth while the AC was charging. There is still some left over, which I can use in the other car should it ever require Compared to going to a shop for something so simple, I saved a lot of money.
