If you touch your bike, it won't go off right away; instead, it will give you a small warning beep if movement is detected; just make sure you unlock it before doing anything else with the bike, such as removing the cover. If necessary, unclip the side of the cover with the lock.
Yes, it will set it off if the storm is severe enough, but it will stop in about 5 minutes. So there's no need to brave the rain. On my quad in the yard, I have one.
I suppose it is dependent on how frequently you use it. I've had mine in storage for over a year and only recently retrieved it; it's still functional.
Yes, it comes with a set of batteries already installed as well as an extra set.

It's gone through two sets of batteries after only a week. This alarm clock is a complete waste of time! This alarm is not to be purchased! Really, I believe the seller or manufacturer is padding the positive reviews. It's not built well, it's not loud, and the batteries don't last more than two days.
- UPDATE- br>As a result, after returning the first unit, the seller sent me the new version to test out. I put it through its paces, being the skeptic that I am. There hasn't been a single time when it hasn't worked out. The old unit's battery problems are no longer an issue, and the features that drew me to it in the first place are still present. I have no idea what they did, but whatever it was, it worked. I'm pleased with the new alarm, as well as the seller, who went out of their way to ensure that the issues were resolved.
The product is well-made and simple to use. To me, the alarm is too loud. More information on the alarming sequence was the main thing I wanted to add to the other reviews. It makes a single beep when you lock it. It will arm itself after about 15 seconds (no beeps). Then, when something triggers it for the first time, it emits three beeps. The alarm is then activated by anything that sets it off (sort of a woo woo woo woo). The noise is piercing and lasts for 10 seconds before stopping. If it is disturbed once more, it will go off for another 10 seconds. If it is not disturbed for a certain amount of time (I'm not sure how long), the alarm will reset to the point where the next "first time" it is disturbed, it will make three short beeps, and if it is disturbed again after a short period of time, the alarm will go off. br>br>This means that one of two things will happen when you return to unlock it. It will give you three beeps if you gently unlock it and nothing has recently set it off while you were gone. If the alarm was triggered while you were away, and it hasn't been too long, the alarm will sound when you go to unlock it. I don't believe anyone could remove it without the key without it triggering an alarm.
Save your money and invest in a higher-quality lock. The product is not durable. It was locked on my back wheel, which I had completely forgotten about. The DISK lock snapped in half as soon as I moved the bike.
This is the second time I've used it on my motorcycle. I put it where it was supposed to go and rode away on my motorcycle. When I returned and set up the kickstand, the bike rolled back about three feet. The lock was broken by four inches. br>Neither the seller nor the buyer ever contacted me or offered me a replacement. This item, or anything else from this seller, would not be purchased by me. br>This is not anti-theft. br>br>I haven't heard from the vendor in a long time. satisfaction in providing me with a refund for this piece of garbage.
The majority of these locks are silent, but when you move the lock or the bike, it emits a warning "chirp chirp chirp" sound. br>br>It's very loud if you move it again! If the thief tries to steal your bike again, he will be met with a blaring siren. Furthermore, the noise would attract a great deal of attention. br>br>I was worried that the batteries could be taken out easily. However, there was no way before it blew up. br>br>Some people say it's too sensitive, but I've never had it go off, even in storms or windy weather, because my bike is under a cover. br>br>Another great feature is that it will remind you to remove it before riding if you forget!.
Haha, the first time I used it, it broke. When my roommate attempted to move my bike, it immediately broke apart. It not only broke and fell off, but it also did so silently. Even if it did make a noise, it's not as if it would deter anyone. This thing is quieter than my cellphone. Make sure you don't throw your money away. This is a complete waste of time.
I have no complaints with this device; you should get a small insurance discount for owning one; it is CRAZY loud for such a small device; it is extremely sensitive (I forgot I had it on one night and it went off just by tilting my bike upward from its kickstand position; it scared the @$! out of me), it's very affordable, and it's DURABLE, thanks to its all-metal construction. I'd never leave the house without my Ninja. Thank you very much.
If you don't need motion detection (and take out the batteries), this lock is excellent. On a bright day with little to no wind, the sensor is WAY too sensitive. It performs admirably. Raining? Windy? There will be some loud alarm sounds. For a standard lock, I'd give it 5 stars, and for the alarm, I'd give it 2 stars. The total rating is raised to four stars due to excellent customer service.
