Questions & Answers

Do you know if it will work with a 1998 4Runner Limited?

It is true. There is a free 3rd generation 4Runner adapter available for this.

What is the availability of parts for the upper control arms in this kit, or does it contain only the lower control arms?

A full set of bushings for all four lower bushings is included.

Are there exactly four bushings included in this kit or is there only ?

In this kit, I found all 4 bushings that I was missing and I am so glad I found this one after failing to replace the poly with another method.

That's what you should be looking for! On my 2000 Tacoma 4WD, I spent a lot of time reading and watching tutorials and guides on how to change the LCA bushings
5/5

All the other brands require you to cut and burn your old bushings, leaving the outer metal part of the original bushing inside. A full set of new bushings replaces the factory ones. My first step was to remove all the bolts surrounding the steering rack, and the outer tie rod ends Steering rods are attached to the By doing one side at a time, I was able to simply lift the rack up and remove the rear cam bolts. My previous LCA had to be removed, so I extended the right side of the vehicle and used a bottle jack from a Chevy Silverado to press out the old bushings. There might have been a factory Toyota jack that worked, but the Chevrolet jack was already out. The jack would then be placed inside the LCA and one side would be pressed out completely. This is the only thing I've cut. There was no heat in my house. Even so, because it was an Arizona truck there wasn't a lot of rust to speak of. With that, you'll be able to remove the rubber part, the inner metal part, and the outer metal bushing, all at once. Using this method with it pointing at your china cabinet may cause it to bounce several feet when the bushings pop. After you have lubed the inside of the new bushings and inserted the metal pipe thing inside, you should have a complete bushing that is ready for installation into squeezed it into a vice firmly, and used a block of hardwood with a hole cut in it as a cup for receiving. (So the head of the vice didn't push on both sides of the rubber). To clean my water-damaged shoes, I used a large pair of water-damaged shoes To ensure the metal outer part of the vice was pressing on the rubber outer part, set up pliers on the other side of the vice. I had a bit of trouble with this, especially since I was doing it all myself and my vice was not bolted down. In order to install the large washers, the LCA had to be installed into the frame again where it was separated from the My wife and I are very pleased with the job, and I saved $800 on labor costs compared to what the local shop wanted.

It was a 5 star product, but it could have been even better
5/5

One reason prompted me to choose Whitline over Energy Susp was because I had done my research on both products. Despite their efforts, the bushing sleeves were never reused. Up until the moment I put them in, I could not understand why someone would want to reuse the sleeves. The reason is now clear to me. In terms of mechanics, I can do pretty well. But that sleeve was nearly impossible to work with. I guess you have to have the right equipment. It was a lesson I learned from getting my upper control arms out of similar sleeves. went by off and on over two days, and finally I had to cut them out with a sawzall and try not to buy the control arm at the same time It became apparent why the other company designed their bushings to hold the sleeve when it came time to use them. It is easy to install. The rubber bushing (rubber) is incredibly difficult to remove. Several days ago, I rented a ball joint press with a 4WD add-on, but I was unable to get the machine With the help of a torch, I heated the rubber at the end of the control arm until it was boiling or bubbling, then popped it out with my fingers. Thus I now had an inner layer of rubber of about 1/8" thickness around the I heated it directly with a butter knife and then pulled it out with a butter knife. After that, I bought a $2 wire brush attachment for my drill to try to get rid of it. I bought it from harbor freight for 99 cents, and it was clean in just one That day, I ordered the energy suspension bushings and they went in so easily. You can get a great 5 star bushing from these if you know how to use the tool and how to remove the sleeve. There is nothing wrong with them. It was simply the path of least resistance I wanted to take. Yes, that's right. I was working on a 1997 4Runner that had half a million miles. It was the first time the bushings had been replaced. I didn't even think they were bad at all. It was my intention to change all suspension components so I could reach.

Tacoma from the first generation
5/5

There is no doubt that There are no listings for a 2000-2002 The 2004 Tacoma is a good car. They are not suitable for replacing LCA bushings, but they do fit.

Compared to OEM, this is better
5/5

I found this to be an excellent upgrade and it handles much better than the OEM bushings. I will definitely be keeping this upgrade for some time since the OEM bushings tend to split, degrade, When you need new bushings for your control arms that are not rusted or bent, this is the kit you need. The kit does not require old rubber to be burnt out or the parts to be reused. It took me around 4 hours to follow YouTube / DIY forum posts for this DIY.

Choosing the right bushing for your 2000 4Runner will make all the difference
5/5

The system was installed in an Isuzu 4Runner 2000. The Energy Suspension bushings, which I purchased first, were significantly better and easier to install, as well as far superior in quality. Comes with lots of silicon grease as well. It's worth it to be able to spend a bit more for these, as my time is more valuable than the price difference, and these are also of superior The following is my recommendation.

There is a need for these bushings on your truck
5/5

It was a massive task, but these bushings made the front of my 3rd Gen 4Runner feel as if it had never been touched. My guess is that your bushings are in the same condition as mine, so buy this now!.

That's what you should be looking for! Unlike the factory bushings that were destroyed and the factory replacements that failed almost instantly, these bushings are designed to last longer
5/5

Toyota and Moog missed the mark on this one while Whiteline got it right! Those are the ones you want It took 35k miles for my KO2 tires to wear out due to the Moogs. I can tell you right now that these bushings will work great!.

I find this part of the job to be the easiest
5/5

There is a discussion online that this will fit an 03 Tacoma. So I bought them and they work! I was able to get in right away, no broken tools or obscenities, and the quality was excellent. Get rid of the old bushings now. Then that's not fun at all.
