The machining of the thread surface appears to have been done with very sharp tooling, there is very little chatter on the thread surface, and it should work fine Except that the washer included in the package is steel, not a soft washer You should crush washers. In order for crush washers to be effective, they need to be softer than the underlying metal. Steel is definitely hard than aluminum. If it is hard, swap it out with a soft aluminium washer or a copper washer that has been annealed. The replacement of this washer is imperative, if you don't do this, you run the very real risk of stripping out the threads in your case.

A magnet is merely a bolt with a magnet in it at the end of the day. It fits as it should, the magnet is powerful for its size, and it is low profile. To put it simply, it does what it is supposed to do. It seems like a pretty high price for a bolt and a magnet, but how much cheaper can it get?.

It was thought that my bike had a major fault and I let it sit for over six months in the winter. I quickly ran out of power on my KLR650. After getting it warm, I found out it was just this bolt. I went on partzilla to find the OEM bolt. Now everything is working fine.

Stick to the bolt that is working. You might want to upgrade your skit plate at some point.

The morning after I noticed a huge oil puddle beneath my bike, I had to install my factory on the driveway before work to make it to work on time. Almost all of my transportation is by bike. Such behavior is unacceptable!.

On my third oil change with this bolt, I noticed a small leak, and of course after tightening the bolt I noticed a larger leak. As the leak continued, I changed the crush washer, but did not get a solution. I drained the oil again and noticed a crack in the bolt. I have owned several types of bikes over the last 25 years and have never seen a crack like It was a very disappointing experience.

You need this if you have a Ahead of purchasing the motor, I had heard some reviews were reporting that the head may break. I have not had this problem on my bike. Don't break your stock drain bolt by waiting another minute get this and save yourself time.

The washer is not the right size. Among the washers supplied with this plug was one made of If plug crush washers are to be copper, then aluminum is a better choice. It's no big deal for me since I keep a stash of crush washers, but if the washer is steel, you might want to give it away.
