That particular size of tire can only be fitted to a snowblower. Throughout the summer, I use mine on my lawn tractor, and they are great on the lawn. In the snow, however, I have not used them.
A 18x8 grid. Five by eight. It means that the outside diameter of the tire is 18" and that the tread width is 8". The diameter of the steel wheel is 8", and the wheel diameter is 50". When just looking at the numbers, you might think no. However, making the chains fit a smaller width is pretty easy to solve, you just adjust a few links more tightly to make the slack disappear. As far as I know, it is compatible with Toro timecutter, which is not perfect. A consideration I have on my machine is to use plastic wire ties to hang the chain ends down. Between the wheel and the frame on my machine, there is one inch of clearance. When the loose ends of the chain get iced up it could damage the tire or wheel. Tying them to the rest of the chain set keeps them from flopping around and picking up ice. The easiest way for me to install it is to jack the tractor. If there is clearance under the wheel, I can drape the chains over the wheel and pull up any slack without having to move the tractor back and forth. Overall, I believe it'll fit, if you take the time to install it.
My opinion is that it is. The size is 18 according to my memory. The total diameter is 5 and the total length is Five is for the width of the rim, and ten is for the diameter. The surface area would be a good fit if that were the case. I did not recommend chains based on my zero turn. As soon as I installed it, I realized It's possible for the loose ends of the adjustment links to get caught between the tires and the frame because the tires are about an inch from the frame. For this purpose, I use zip ties (plastic wire ties) to confine any loose links from sticking out or flopping.
The outside diameter of tire is 18 inches, and the inside diameter is 8 inches. Taking the width of the tread pattern at 5 and the size of the hub at 8, you have the size of the tire. It is a given that chains that fit 18" are needed. The difference can be taken care of by drawing up the chain more links if the chain has a tread size larger than the tire. In the same way, if the diameter of the hub My first step is to lift the rear wheels up and deflate the tires, then I drape the chains over them. After that, I pull the cable around the tire until I can easily reach the fasteners in the back. Firstly, I re-inflate the tires after gathering the chains and linking them as tight as possible. I have found that this method is the easiest way to get a tight fit. My solution is to tie up the loose ends of the chain with plastic zip ties (wire ties) if the tire is too close to the machine. They are kept from hitting the tractor when they are iced up by this.

I've been using these all winter on my EZGO Workhorse golf cart. I have put them on and taken them off between snow storms. Years of service will be guaranteed with them. It's true they won't fit gas carts, and their breaks get in the way, but they will work with.
Even after a year of f#&&ing around with it I can't get it tight over the wheel It's fun to play with.
This chain helps me with snowblowing when I have my lawn tractor attached to a snowblower. Fits 18x8 according to the manufacturer. My tractor has 5x8 tires these chains are a bit loose on them, but I was able to tighten them up quite a bit with two bungee cords hung on the sides. Tire traction improved considerably after the chains were.
I really like the chain because it has This tire gives me excellent traction on packed snow and ice. In the winter I use it on my riding mower for plowing snow. While my father has the same mower setup, the tire chains on his chain have fewer cross links. It is much easier for me to push snow with my mower.
In order to get my golf cart to go in the snow, I have to play in it. Our snowfall for the winter was 7 inches. We received these chains just in time. It's a great team.
I found these tire chains to fit my lawn tractor 18x8 well. Five by eight. It was a bit thinner than some chains I have used, but I doubt it will have an adverse effect.
The tires are easy to install and digging in the snow is no problem! The purchase was worth the money. A heavy duty machine.
THESE WERE INSTALLED ON MY ZERO TURN MOWER SO I WOULD GET BETTER TRACTION WHILE CUTTING GRASS, AND IN FACT I DID. Uh, I dare say that the ride is bumpier than it was before, so I have slowed down to compensate for that.
