The extra confidence is just the thing I need to practice technical subjects. I ought to have opted for the version with long sleeves and elbow pads built into it in retrospect. I was expecting it to be hotter, but it isn't as bad as I had expected. This feature is very stealthy, which is a huge bonus. I wear it tucked under a loose jersey and it is very difficult to tell if I am wearing it or not. When I ride my local trails, I don't want to look like a MX racer. A fan of the product but I couldn't give it 5 stars because the arm holes are a bit tight if you have any arm. During my surgery, the elastic band on the bottom of the short sleeve had to be cut. Besides the stretchy part of the fabric, the rest is perfectly smooth.
After falling really hard on my electric unicycle, I ended up in the hospital. As I was hurrying down the sidewalk, there was one of those incline bumps made with asphalt. I thought I would avoid it, but instead it sent my wheel into a huge wobble, which flung me forward. Luckily, I was wearing my wristguards. It was an expensive investment to wear this Leatt armor under my shirt. If I hadn't been wearing it, then I probably would have broken one of my vertebrae or even Thank you very much, Leatt, for making this armor!.
My pair of slouch shoes was on my feet today. I love them! The hot summer allowed me to just wear this without a jersey, but this morning it was cold enough for me to wear it under one. The pads are not overly thick like motocross pads, they are thin, and they are definitely good for mountain biking. The top is worth the cost as it is holding up well via wear and washing.
It is pretty comfortable for a hot day and was well made. Definitely not cheap looking, but it does what it should. While I would have liked rib pads to go along with it. Apart from that, i highly recommend it if you are an enduro rider or just like to ride down hills hard. it's excellent protection.
I brought it for MTB and have used it already. I feel like my shoulder was saved from more serious damage due to this product. I would recommend this bike short because it is light weight, breathable, and comfortable. Despite its appearance, I only dislike the fact that the chest piece is a pad and not the impact protection that's on the back and shoulders. An injury to my rib was not caused by this product however, I would pay more for the exact same material in the chest patch. No matter what, it's a great product and I use it everyday.
I like it. It's so comfortable I forget I have it on. Though I have not personally put this to the test, two of my friends have and they found it to be very helpful.
My height is 5' 11" and weight is 180 pounds, so XL was the right size. So far I have not gone for a ride, but I am pleased with how it fits. I've used other Leatt padding and they've stayed in place very well and have not been damaged by a crash.
The only time I rode was when it was hotter. I found the fit to be perfect and the shirt remained cool.
