I've been riding a Sportbike for two years and have never had any issues. My passenger, on the other hand, does not dangle from the full weight of his body. One hand is braced on the tank, while the other is on the forward grab.

I find it to be very comfortable to wear - But, to be honest, it's all about the passengers' comfort and confidence. My 6-year-old niece had expressed an interest in riding the motorcycle. I ride a Honda Shadow cruiser, and now that she's old enough to reach the pedals - These provided her with a "safe" object to hold and increased her confidence when riding with me. These handles, along with new helmets with intercoms, provided them with the extra comfort they needed to ride with me for a couple of hours. Except for the 15-year-old, who preferred to sit back against the sissy bar and rest his hands on the saddle bags, all five nieces and nephews between the ages of 6 and 15 wore the belt. It is especially recommended for children.
I own a sport series belt that I use for spirited canyon rides. This is a fantastic product that does exactly what it says it will. My wife likes it a lot because she has less of a tendency to slide out of the pillion into my seat, and it gives her a better grip on me when we ride, and she doesn't get sore wrists bracing herself against the tank. br> While the belt material is soft and pliable, I would have preferred a more ridged material for the back, such as leather, as the poly plastic material appears to be a detriment to longevity. These plastics, in my experience, harden and become brittle as they age, especially when exposed to the elements and UV rays. The velcro on the belt has seen a lot of use and is beginning to show signs of wear, so I'm trying to avoid removing it as frequently as possible. My tank was scratched by the buckle, so make sure yours is safe. br> Overall, we are pleased with this belt because it has improved and made our rides more enjoyable.
For our family, I adore it. I have a 2015 CBR600RR and had to stop riding unless we had a sitter because I didn't feel safe with my 9-year-old gripping the handlebars with his tiny arms.
