3Xbr>I'm the same size as you in terms of height and weight. The 3X was my purchase. In the summer, it's light and airy, and in the winter, it's warm enough to wear over a leather jacket.
I ordered a M in my size. I am 5'9" tall and weigh 160 pounds. I have sufficient space for back padding, but that is just me.
I went with the XL-size. Tall. When I first got into it, I was 5'11" and 190 pounds. I couldn't we're it at 263 without ripping out all of the side straps. It still fits perfectly now that I'm 215 pounds.
Which vest size would be best for my 5'8" and 220 pound frame? br>And if it's adjustable, how much flexibility does that give me in terms of fitting?

I'm 5'6" and weigh around 200 pounds, so the large fit perfectly. When I ride, I always wear hoodies to conceal my weight. This vest hides my belly button and allows me to ride without a shirt on. In the event of a minor collision, I have that small torso protection that will protect me from road rash. I expected a thin, cheaply made vest, but it was quite heavy when I took it out of the box! The vest appears to be well-made, with two pockets on the outside and one on the inside, each of which can hold two soda cans or one water bottle with some room to spare. One soda can fits inside the interior pocket, with some room to spare. The sides, where the straps are located, provide ventilation. You won't have to worry about the zipper breaking because it's large and thick. It's already nice, but once you've broken it in, I'm sure it'll be even better. br>br>The only drawback I can think of is that the lining is fixed, which I've seen with other vests. In other vests I've seen, the lining can be unzipped, which is useful for getting the three MC patches on the back. When you remove the lining, you can replace it after applying the patches, and the lining on this vest will appear stitched up. br>br>As this does not apply to me, I am unconcerned. With the orange lines, the lining looks fantastic and gives it a Harley-Davidson feel.
Simply go ahead and purchase it. You WILL NOT be dissatisfied with your purchase. I decided to give this vest a try. Right now, Harley has one for around $250, which I almost bought (it's actually quite nice). But, since I'm buying late in the season and it's already getting cold (NY/NJ), I figured I'd just look around. 80 bucks! My expectations were low, but when I got this in the mail, I was pleasantly surprised. I'll admit that it exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, weight, and appearance. I'm 5'8", 180 pounds, in good shape, and I ordered a medium (in suit jackets, I'm a size 42). The straps are easily adjustable to accommodate a riding jacket and/or hoodie. I can also see myself wearing this with a T-shirt in the summer. Simply adjust the side straps after putting on your shirt. True Element is the brand, and the tag indicates that it was made in Pakistan. You won't get a better bang for your buck than this for $80. Please let me know if you do. This is a high-quality bag with nice leather and sturdy zippers. The best has the best look and function, but due to sizing issues, I had to return the first one. I went by the sizing chart, and the 2XL was enormous. At 6'1", my chest is 50" and my waist is 32". The 2XL would have been big enough for my wife. I switched to an XL, and while it fits my chest and shoulders, I'm having trouble getting the best off. While I prefer the best, it is not designed for someone with a muscular physique. I'll have to modify the straps so that I can get the waist tight enough without the flapbr>I'm the wind I'm used to having to change my clothes, so this isn't a big deal for me. I simply want to know how it will look on a person with an athletic build.
This vest arrived a day early, much to my delight, and was well packaged. It had no flaws, such as the rips mentioned by others. The zipper is nice, but the pockets are small and run back to the back, which I expected. One small pocket on the inside; This is not a good choice for a concealed carry firearm. The leather is a little flimsy. It's not at all stiff in the jacket. If you're trying to tighten the sides, the straps are very long, but they're attached badly! Within the first week, I was free of leather. Straps made of vegan material tend to fray after a few days. The straps are far too long. I recommend ordering one size up from your usual size. I normally wear a 3xl but ordered a 5 tall. It looks great with a big shirt underneath. For my Mc patches, this jacket will be ideal. There's no need to patch over seams because the back is all one piece.
I ordered an XXL because I have to ride with my bulkier gear underneath at all times, but it turned out to be too big, so I returned it and ordered this one instead. I adore it, but I had to deduct a star because the Velcro tabs were a little too long when I adjusted the fit. I attempted to trim them, but the way they were sewn together caused them to come apart after I cut them. I took the star away because the straps were too long, which was my fault and a simple fix for my local alterations shop. Also, the stitching on the top tab that covers the zipper came undone, but I glued it back together and haven't had any problems since. Overall, I'm very pleased with my life.

The large is, in fact, quite big. The collar's snap also broke the first time it was worn. So I gave it back. br>br>I repurchased a medium and it fit perfectly with the sides cinched in. On the repurchase, there were no quality control issues to note. The best is actually quite nice, and the materials and stitching appear to be of high quality this time. br>br>Quality control has resulted in a reduction in stars.
I'm a big guy (6' 280-pounds) with a lot of experience. I'm 300 pounds and this vest fits me perfectly; the leather is of excellent quality; however, I wouldn't recommend it for concealment; the pockets are backwards and only useful for small items.
It's more adjustable than most, and the leather is of good quality. When new, this vest isn't nearly as stiff as other vests I've bought. The three swat style side straps are far more adjustable and comfortable than the leather lace on other vests I've owned. Wind (and chill) are kept out by the high neck and normal sized arm holes. The quality of the lining is excellent. It's worth noting that the side straps have been adjusted to fit a man of average build. Because I'm not particularly trim, I slashed the straps quite a bit. There's still a lot I can change in the future if I want to.
