Product Description

While most other helmet locks have sharp edges that scratch or damage your helmet or your bike (costing you more than the price of a decent lock), we took the extra precaution of securing the D-ring (the carabiner) with rubberized sleeves several years ago. The self-coiling retractable cable is also coated with a tough, flexible outer casing that is weather resistant, so that the Helmet Lock can be used with any helmet or bicycle.
HOW TO USE - We'll e-mail you a comprehensive User Guide that will help you get the most out of This self-coiling braided steel cable is Grade 1, one of the strongest cables available. It is 82 cm long (6 feet) so that you can attach a jacket as well as two helmets (or one helmet and one helmet) to your bike. The carabiner PIN is easy to set up. No matter what sorts of helmets you wear, the system will still work with them, including full-face and half-face helmets, and of course all types of bikes - motorcycles, ATVs, mopeds, bicycles, mountain bikes, and so on.

Questions & Answers

What is the size of the cable? Can it pass through the helmet "D" ?

Dear John, I'm writing to ask for your help. A helmet lock cable is 3 mm thick, so it can be fitted through the D rings if you choose to do so. The downside is that passersby might attempt to cut through the helmet strap to free the helmet, so we don't usually recommend that method. You will have no option but to use the D rings if you have an open face helmet without a visor. You can either feed the cable through the D ring and then attach the D ring to the cable or you can use the carabiner alone (without cable) and attach the D ring to it. The ring is attached to the Please let me know if this helps

The number has changed from 000, but I don't seem to be able to get the lock opened with it. Do you have any ideas on how to fix it?

Make sure to test your new combo both ways by using 1 digit. Your new combo is 444, so you would have to try 344, 544, 434, 454, 443, and There are a thousand ways to do it if that fails.

Having just received this lock in the mail, it refuses to unlock using the default combination of 000. Can you tell me what I should ?

Hey Kristofer, nice to meet you. I can think of a couple of possible explanations for this strange event. As a first step, the 000 should face OUT, and possibly not all three zeros are evenly aligned with the center of the rectangle. The zero in the middle may need to be gently pushed in order to be centered. In second place. It is necessary to press the two wings at the head of the lock with your thumb and index finger simultaneously to unlock it. The locking lever swings OUT, not inward. Should neither of the above solve the problem, you can contact us via the Amazon website or by sending us an email at [email protected]. You can contact us by phone (quoting your order number) and we will arrange for an instant Dear Sir/Madam, Regards.

Can you tell me how secure this is? It is worthless due to its poor quality. ?

I am confident that this product is effective. The problem of security is that it can never be 100% foolproof, and even if there were, it would be difficult to maintain. The lock is heavy duty, as it will not easily give way. The steel wires are also quite strong. The most important advantage of this product is that it prevents theft because any potential thief would have to go to great lengths to break into it.

You did a great job
4/5

This is more of a lock that tells people not to take anything from me. There is a possibility that it will break. As long as this is followed, honest people will remain honest. It keeps people from simply walking away without saying anything. In most cases, the mere presence of a lock on your belongings is enough to deter thieves. The size of the lock does not matter as long as it works. A person willing to take it will do so if they really want Overall, it's a good item, and I appreciate the rubber coating that keeps it from scratching or jingling around when I use it. In a heartbeat, I would do it again and recommend it. If you just want to run in to the store and not carry your helmet, then this is the cheap insurance option.

Locks for motorcycle accessories are the ideal solution
5/5

Despite the instructions for setting the combination being simple, I set it up in less than two minutes and was ready to go. I purchased this lock for a 4 day ride on my Suzuki Vstrom, and I was very happy with it. From then on, I was able to get my combo to work every time. My lock and cable have a coating to protect the bike, so I leave them attached to the bike even when I am not using them. There were two ways in which I used the lock on my trip. First of all, I locked my helmet with the main lock. As well as ran the coiled cable through the handles, I also ran the zipcord through the tail bag handles to prevent a grab-and-run scenario. I probably could have locked my jacket too, if I had stretched the cable the full distance, but I never did that, so I don't know for The following are the concerns expressed by some of the other reviewers For the whole day of my ride, I rode through rain without any problems, and the lock mechanism worked perfectly. In regards to your question about how thieves can break the lock, I can say the following There is a light-moderate level of duty on this Please do not lock this with your wife's diamond ring. The lock/cable could be defeated by a thief with a couple of large crowbars and a midsize cable cutter. Nevertheless, heavy duty locks that might be more practical on a motorcycle would not be realistic in quick lock/unlock situations. It is therefore possible to stop the "opportunity thief" and to also add significant time to someone even more determined. The bottom line is that this lock does everything it says it will do at a very fair price, with the additional benefit of not having to carry another key.

The device is very easy to use, as well as The GoldWing I ride is a 2009
5/5

In addition to using this device on my motorcycle trip from San Diego, CA to Durango, Colorado and to northern California, I also used it to secure my helmet and backpack on two other trips. This comes in handy only when I have to leave my stuff unattended at a store, gas station, or restroom. However, it is not going to stop someone with a bolt cutter or cable cutter, so I don't expect it to stop them from lifting my whole bike up and taking it home with them. The app is not intended for that purpose. There is no doubt that it will prevent that from happening You might get grabbed by jerks who want your helmet, jacket, or purse. The cables are long enough to get everything you would ever need secure, and come with a storage pouch that can easily fit in a jacket pocket or anywhere else on your bike. They can also be plugged in anywhere you like without a problem. It is very well made, I trust it for my own use, and it will make a great gift for anyone who loves to ride. have already bought a second one as a gift, and I'm planning my Christmas list for other people as well.

When it comes to locks An excellent combination of durability and lightness
4/5

I have updated The company offered to send me a replacement after I contacted them. We even made an agreement that if I had been able to defeat the new lock as easily as before, they would refund me double my money. It felt more confident to me, so instead of just requesting a refund, I decided to go ahead with it. This was my first time, and I'm glad I did it! We are in a much tougher situation now! There might have been some design changes since I received this, or I simply had a defective copy. The new one is very tough, but since I couldn't open it by hand, I checked my closet and found another one that also appears to be tough. Either they changed the design - could have been a while ago now - or I was just unlucky with my purchase. Any way you look at it. Based on what I saw, I am rescinding my original rating and giving it 4 stars today. Even though it's not Fort Knox, the locks they are shipping aren't easy to crack by hand. They're lightweight and easy to use in relatively safe areas to keep stuff locked up. Unless opportunistic thieves are a concern, I would only rely on it as a deterrent, but the current build quality impresses me. I'm going to leave my original review, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others at this point. I received a response from the company within a matter of hours. You can find the updated video attached. Amazon would have allowed me to include both videos, but the first one is just me opening the old, broken, or defective lock with my It seems that the brand new locks I have are more robust than the older ones.

ORIGINAL The helmet lock I bought about a year ago is still in good condition. My bike was working fine until I came back to the bike a little while ago and noticed my code that I'd been using for the past Trying my regular code, 000, as well as all the digits on either side of the three I had chosen for my code, I couldn't get past the first three digits. I couldn't get anything to work. It took me a little while, but eventually I just opened the thing with my Having my helmet on hand was wonderful because it allowed me to reach my home safely. Nonetheless, it was really bad because it meant that the helmet lock was not secure in the slightest. You can see how easy it is to defeat the lock in the video attached. We recommend that all existing units be recalled from the market, and that this product be removed from sale immediately.

I had all my gear stolen just now
3/5

I was recently robbed because I used this lock to secure my gear. I used the lock probably five times before the lock was cut, and I lost hundreds of dollars in the process. There seems to be little difficulty in cutting it. As a substitute, I plan on buying a 'gun lock' or something similar to use If you do not have costly equipment, I would not recommend this product in order to secure it. However, it is surprisingly easy to use if you don't need to secure valuable The customer service provided by this company was outstanding, while the company itself is quality.

There was a problem with the locking (got locked out) and the paint had a chip
3/5

As soon as I received this lock, I reset the combination to the number I had to open the lock twice a day for the first few days (once to lock my helmet, to unlock it twice a day for work). On the third day, I couldn't open it. A company representative responded quickly by trying every possible combination of 000 to 999 in just a few minutes. My guess is that it will take hours, not minutes, and I am not sure why a set code wouldn't work on its own. Furthermore, the lock has peeled paint off my bike. I can't even pick up the bike at this point since it can't be taken out. This is a bad move!.
