I've had these for six years and have towed 15,000 miles with them, and they're still going strong.
Rick, I have the old style pins and they work fine; however, the new flip pins will not. You can drill a hole in the L-shape by removing the flip pin. They should work if you modify the bar to accept a cotter pin. It certainly reduces the amount of noise produced by the spring bars. Like a super cat whose tail has become entangled in a wringer. I hope this has been of assistance. Ron Landers is a resident of Sylacauga, Alabama.
Fastway's response can be found below. "Hey Bob, The sway bracket jacket is compatible with the e2 trunnion, but we don't recommend using it with an e2 Trunnion because it reduces the friction between the bar and the L bracket. We typically don't recommend it because those are the only sway control points on the e2, but if the customer is bothered by noise and insists on using the sway bracket jacket, we'll let them. It appears to be made of nylon and is about a half-inch thick. I'm not sure where to get a cut piece.

We bought two sets of these, not because one set was worn out, but because someone in our house misplaces things. I won't say who it is, but it isn't me. They're worth it in either case. Have you ever been relaxing in an RV park late at night, or even asleep, only to be startled by loud, screeching, and popping noises? My husband uses hearing aids, which irritates him greatly. This used to happen to us, but it no longer does since we got these. This handy device reduces the hum of the hitch. Now that we have two sets, my husband, er, the unnamed perpetrator, is unlikely to lose one. Okay, I'm guilty of misplacing things as well, but it's usually minor items like kitchen scissors, so it's not a big deal.
What a breath of fresh air. These jackets do not appear to reduce the noise of the Equalizer Sway Control bars, according to reviews. They did a fantastic job in my case of reducing the noise to almost nothing. They also eliminate the standard assembly's metal-to-metal wear. I've had the jackets for about a year, and the trailer has logged about 10,000 miles with them on, and they show no signs of wear, so I'm confident they'll last a long time. They're fantastic, and I'm not sure why Equalizer doesn't include them as standard with all of their weight distribution hitches.
However, it is for all the wrong reasons. br>br>Our Equal-Part-Part-Part-Part-Part-Part-Part Part-Part-Part-Part- Every time we hit a bump or made a sharp turn, the hitch popped, creaked, and groaned. Everyone we passed stopped what they were doing as we drove through the campground to our site to see what was making all the noise. br>br>My initial research (both online and through talking to other campers) suggested that the noise is normal and is a by-product of the camping process. a weighted average Equal-Distribution and Sway Control Features of the Equal-Distribution and Sway Control Features of the Equal-D There's no hitch in this. But all of that noise didn't sound normal, so I kept looking for a solution to this annoying issue. Finally, I came across a reference to the Equal-Opportunity Act. Jackets for the Sway Bracket. These go over the brackets where the sway tension bars are mounted, and the friction between the sway tension bars and the bracket helps to reduce sway while towing your trailer. Because the friction was metal on metal before the jackets were installed, a lot of the noise I was hearing was caused by this. br>br>Now that the jackets have been installed, the friction is metal on nylon, which is much quieter. I noticed no difference in sway control when towing with the jackets installed. The only difference I've noticed is that towing my camper has become a lot quieter! We drove through the campground this past weekend, and no one seemed to notice us. br>br>Unfortunately, I can't give the Sway Bracket Jackets full credit for my hitch being quieted. Additionally, I bought Equal- I used zer's hitch lubricant on the ball, hitch head, and the tops and bottoms of the sway tension bar sockets. While I'm confident that the bracket jackets will reduce the amount of noise your hitch makes, I'm not convinced that they will eliminate all of the pops and creaks. You'll also require lubricant. br>br>However, I still think this is a great product and a great purchase, and I would buy them again without hesitation if I needed to.
Oh, the horror! These Sway Bracket Jackets are a game changer! br>The first time I drove our trailer with our Equal-it-all-the-time Equal-it-all-the-time Equal-it-all-the- I had to pull over and check the trailer because it sounded like it was being torn apart. br>I began using a spray lubricant to reduce the noise, but this reduced the effectiveness of the sway control and made a mess. br>These significantly reduce noise (and thus my stress level) without compromising sway control or causing a sloppy mess. They also lessen the wear on the brackets' and bars' metal surfaces. br>I'm not sure why Equal-Equal-Equal-Equal-Equal-Equal-Equal-Equal is I'm glad I found them because zer doesn't include them with the hitch.
These were a huge help in reducing the noise! I still get some noise now and then, but it's not nearly as bad as it was before. Investing in this product is definitely a good idea. The installation is quick and easy, taking less than 15 seconds in total (they simply slide on). My hitch setup continued to work flawlessly; there appears to be no difference in how it operates and performs. If you're in possession of an Equal-opportunity-opport Get a zer sway control system and you'll have a much quieter ride!.
Equalizer with a Great Silencer for Noisy Equalizers There are no hitches. I've had the Hitch for two years and have always despised the amount of noise it made, with its constant creaking and popping. br>Once I put this in the 'L' bracket, the noise went away, and I didn't notice any sway control issues while driving. br>As an added bonus, it appears that this will protect the bracket and bar from the wear caused by constant metal on metal contact. I'm not sure how long this will last because it is hardened plastic, but if it lasts a year, it will be worth it to me.
As a result, it appeared to be an excellent purchase. After the first trip, I was completely broke. br>After only one trip, the clips that were supposed to keep them attached completely broke off on both sides. br>At this point, only the pressure of the bars is keeping them in place. br> I don't think it'll be long before they go missing. It didn't stop the noise from the bars, so I'm not happy with this purchase. br> Save your money and don't buy this item.
So- They assist me with my Equal-Opportunity-Affirmative-Affirm The zero hitch system is a system that allows you to travel without a hitch I tow a smaller camper (21 feet long and 4000 pounds). But- They fit well and appear to reduce the slapping, grinding, and popping noises associated with camper movement when properly aligned. If you're concerned about the noise when backing up multiple times and angles into the perfect spot, it's probably best to remove the Equal-Motion-Motion-Motion-Motion-Motion-Motion-Motion-M Stabilizer bars made by zer This is beneficial. But- These spacers haven't been torn up, destroyed, or damaged because I've left them in place. It's been in use for more than a year, and it's been in use for more than three years. months on the road in preparation for a summer camping trip.
