The product is black, but it has a black tint, not an all-black finish, so the description could have stated that. I used it on my LS2 Bobber 3/4 helmet and it's universal fit. It was necessary to glue the middle snap, as there was a lot of play, and to add some foam tape to the inside ends of the boxes to keep them from rattling. Shade is provided by enough of a bill that it works to keep the sun at bay. It took a long time for the product.
The visor fits well on my Bell Custom 500 and has a nice look. I agree, but. . . . but this is the catch. Originally, I thought this was for the Custom 500, and could only be made by Bell. It's one of my favorites. A helmet's right fit depends on its size.
The visor fits well but moves around quite a bit on the helmet, since it is more of a "universal" visor with snaps.
For my retro helmet, I'm going old school.
