However, given the results of just one use, this is a MUST. I liked the length of the socks because it was exactly what I needed. The material used to keep them in place, on the other hand, is very similar to the material used by women to keep their breasts in place. A sticky substance that clings to your skin and keeps the socks in place. I rode on and off for a day because it was my only use. The material was stock to my skin by the time I got home and removed them. I had burns on both of my legs by the time I managed to get them off. I won't be able to use the two pairs I bought because they might result in more skin burns.
Before riding, I made sure that these were correct. br> I got new knee guards and old boots, and all I can say is that the entire day of riding, I didn't think about breaking in new knee guards or my feet. br>br> Throughout the day, everything remained in place. br> Things like this will be necessary until someone starts making boots that come up over the knees. br> I might buy a few more pairs if I go camping and want a clean set, but I was dry and comfortable even after an entire day of riding in hot weather with guards and long pants. br> This is highly recommended, and I wish I had known about it years ago.
I ripped a hole in the lower cotton portion the first time I put them on. I am 6- I'm 2 and 220 pounds, but I don't have particularly large calf muscles, so the lower cotton portion of the skirt constricts my legs quite a bit. I've been attempting to stretch them out, but I'm not having much luck. I've only ridden with them twice and I'm already kicking myself for not doing so sooner.
Worn with both regular motocross style knee pads and asterick brand knee braces with no problems. It keeps the knee brace from chafing and makes it more comfortable to wear.
I've already used them for off-road riding twice. I'm 6'2" tall and weigh 250 pounds, and the XL ones are perfect for me. They go over my fluid knee braces. The non-slip bands appear to be very effective at preventing the socks from slipping down. They come highly recommended from me. The only issue is that the price is a little high, and it is now beginning to tear after about 6 months.
These were extremely tight around my leg (especially the large). I'm 5'11", 180 pounds, and weigh 180 pounds. They were also extremely tall individuals. I'm taller and sexier than I'd like to be. I had to return them because I couldn't find anything else to replace them.
These socks are a great deal. When I first put them on, they felt great, but the seam (typical height of tube sock) is in the same place as my knee braces, which causes constant rubbing. Not acceptable because it is very irritating and causes a mild friction burn.
For years, I've worn knee brace socks, and these are no exception. They're not too thick, but they're very comfortable. These socks have a lot of extra material above the brace, so they're quite long.
