Are you sure it's a four What is the inner diameter of 1/2" or what is the outer diameter of 1/2"? In my case, I am hoping to cover a pipe diameter of 4 inches It has an outer diameter of 1/2 inch. ?

4 inches is the diameter of the interior of the base Half an inch. There is about a 5-inch diameter to the exterior of the base flange. A 3" diameter.

Can you tell me how tall this item is?

The first thing I did when I bought this item was to overlap it, and then run a tie wrap around it, and it worked great, no one will ever notice the seam at the bottom.

To begin with, the part was late in getting to me, and although it states that the ring comes with the boot, it did not come with the boot. I will have to wait to see if the seller will send the boot, if not, I will return it to Amazon.

The item is the right size, but the customer service is terrible, because they do not know the difference between 4” and 4"

This cable cannot be used for existing applications without disassembling the cable

Due to the way this boot is manufactured, it probably won't go back together well in the event that you split it yourself. I thought about splitting it myself but I'm not sure if it would work for applications where you don't want to take everything apart.
