Tactical pants with these boots are what I wear when I ride. I have not worn jeans with these boots, but I think if the jeans are not too tight around the ankles I think they could fit. Just a heads up, if you don't have great flexibility, you might have trouble reaching the buckles. My 65 years as a motorcyclist have led me to own many motorcycle boots and over 45 years of riding, these buckles have been the most challenging for me to reach, although you only turn 65 once in your lifetime. I love it. My favorite part of the boots is everything else about them. The construction is well done and the design is It might help if you read this.
It measures almost exactly 10 inches from the sole to the top of the shin protection on the boot I wear in size 12. It is a very good boot for riding, not for walking around town. You cannot flex the boot while walking but it is very stiff. This is perfect for adventure riding, if you ask me.
I have been using it for almost a year now and I am happy with the way it looks.
A stiff boot such as this is hard to walk in. In my opinion, riding on a Harley would be a better choice than riding any other vehicle.

I received these today, but I am sorry to say that I will be returning them. The next size up is what I will order. I like the boots a lot! (I would have given them a five-star rating if they fit true to size. I wear a 10 and although they do fit my foot, they are a LOT too tight for me. My wife actually had to unsnap one of the boots from the buckle when I nearly failed to buckle them. As my legs aren't as long as a tall motocross boot, I wanted something lower on the leg. I like how they are padded and the buckles are of good quality. Boots have really nice soles, they seem like they are going to grip the pegs and the mud well when you walk on them. My hope is that I will fit into the 11 It's too bad I have to wait for them to arrive. Don't hesitate to get a size up, I guarantee the fit will be perfect!.
When I first tried the Corozals, I thought it was an interesting experience. Although they got such good reviews, I did not like them. 2) I felt like shifting would be a problem. It was as if I was giving up the safety of tall riding boots for a less secure footing. 2) My calves are small and I could not get the Corozals in place 2) The pain I felt in my feet while walking was as if I were wearing two foot casts. There's no difference between the Belizeans and the Belizeans, there's just a 2 tier protection The length of the child has been decreased by 3 inches. riding at trails, I'll put on some knee/shin guards, which will make up for the lack of shin protection that the Corozals would have given me.
Despite the fact that everyone's feet are different, they are all of equal size. Throughout this review, I will rely on my own experience and build. 5' 8", 184 lbs, and have narrow feet that measure 9 1/2 inches wide). This pair of boots is exactly what I was looking for. A comfort is my #1 priority, and my #2 priority is Safety is paramount. As a consequence, I will sacrifice some overall comfort in favor of A few years ago, my last pair of boots were Timberland Pros Logger boots (not even motorcycle boots, but very comfortable and protective). I am much more comfortable in these Alphinestars Drystar boots than I thought I would be. The reviews I read stated that these boots are stiff like snowboard shoes or ski boots and that walking in them is unbearably difficult. As someone who has spent many years on the slopes, I can tell you that these boots are not as stiff as snowboard boots, nor (If your walks are short distances or fewer than a mile in length) these Alpinestars will be comfortable to wear. For hiking experiences on long trails, I do not recommend them. However, as a whole, was very comfortable while walking and especially while The pros include Safety boots of this quality seem to be very durable. The hard shell appears to provide adequate protection for my feet and ankles in case I fall off my bike or hit something with them.
It wasn't as difficult to put these boots on/take them off as I first thought. You can wear them all day long. (Remember not to take long, long hikes or walks in them. I was not as hot as I had expected them to be on my feet in 80 degrees weather, but fine to venture out to some national park overlook, or to a visitors center, or restaurant, etc. )
(Yes, in the summer you can ride with boots that are cooler, but again, you are sacrificing As a result of wearing impact armor, I am already quite hot, at least when not in motion on my motorcycle -- In any pocket, inside or outside of my riding jacket or pants, I can insert my back, chest, shoulders, elbows, hips, or knees. There is no charge for it, so it is not taxable The fact that they are hot rarely even registers on my radar. feet very well. ( These are European sizing boots and are normally wear a size 9 1/2 in shoes, but if that size is sold out, I end up with WITH THIS SET OF BOOTS, NOT SO. The recommendation from other reviews led me to purchase a 1/2 size down (size 9 Alphinestars). I found that the size 9 is a perfect match for my foot with a little bit of room to spare, which makes them very comfortable for walking and riding. It may be necessary to change the size if you have a wide foot. The cons are The price is a bit high. the investment if they are as effective as they look and last for several pants like I do, except on very warm summer days), you will have to wear loose fits/relaxed fits of jeans for them to fit over boots comfortably. I don't really see the con in it, but I guess it is Possibly the biggest downside to these boots is that they do have a hard shell on the bottom. I'm not used to boots being as flexible as I thought they would be. It was a little bit of a learning curve for me. ), in which case you will have to move your toe under the shifter, in order to comfortably Even then, it took me a couple of rides to get comfortable with moving my foot under the shifter and back out from under it again. In order to set the gear shift to your ideal location, you can purchase a gear shifter extension/modification that goes on just about every motorcycle. In spite of the fact that I have learned how to shift with these boots, I have not compared the As a conclusion It wouldn't surprise me if I bought these boots again after a few years.
My shoes are a size nine, but I was concerned that they might be slightly too small since I normally wear a size It can sometimes be a 5, and it can sometimes be There was no problem fitting the nine into the nine. I am pleasantly surprised to find that my jeans and riding pants fit over them as well. Although I have only worn them four times, I feel they are very stiff, as I expected. Although the boots may give the sensation of protection, I am sure they will loosen over time. I have trouble getting the toe under the shift lever, but once I get it adjusted I should be fine. The boots did not appear uncomfortable after a long ride in 83 degree temperatures. When the humidity ramps up this summer, I expect it to get hot. I have not ridden in the rain yet, but I can stand in about 4 inches of water without I would definitely buy these again. They are really well made and I would definitely recommend them.
My purpose in buying them is to use them on adventure rides. Colorado is about a 50/50 split for me. The lower height of these boots makes them perfect for riding. These boots look just like the ones I normally wear. I wear a size 11 and they are a little too big for me. Due to the discomfort of my feet, I wear a thicker sock. In comparison to other moto boots, they are pretty stiff out of the box, but I just decided to do a day of yard work first, which was uncomfortable, but loosens them up a bit so it isn't as I found these to be worth the money, they are of excellent quality.
I feel safe when I put them on since they're my first motorcycle boots. As for off-road riding, I'm not a hardcore enthusiast, but I do ride gravel and dirt roads and they make me feel safer when I am driving down them. The steering is a bit clunky and the shifting is a bit tricky, but after riding them for about 30 minutes, you'll get used to it.
I bought them to provide an extra layer of protection for rides that would take me further away. A four-star hotel recently used this We drove 1100 miles backroads, over the course of a day. I don't know where to begin. It's very comfortable, supportive, and easy to walk Although a bit noisy when walking about, the rubbing of the ankle support makes a squeaky noise when I step on them. I look forward to purchasing more Astars products in the future.
This is by far my favorite pair of medium to cold temperature moto boots. I feel safe and solid when riding because it is waterproof and comfortable. When the temperature rises above 80 degrees, it gets too hot.
