Xmas was coming and these were just what my father wanted. His height is 5'8" and his build is average, but his shoulders are wider and his arms have a little more muscle than average. He had already provided me with his measurements, so I ordered the s/m in response to the sizing chart, but they were too small, so I had to return them. I just reordered the L/XL, but they have not yet arrived.

In addition to staying in place, they are also very protective when they fall. The sleeves can be put on without detaching the velcro as they do not have any Velcro. From triple8 which didn't hold where they should, I upgraded to these. In later years, I bought them for my wife and son for skateboarding pumping, onewheeling, and European Union use. While wearing them, I have fallen very few times doing tricks or after a wheel biting incident and they have protected me and haven't broken. I can use my hands, a windbreaker, and a puffer jacket to pull them on. I am thrilled with the results.
As far as we can tell, the product is great. Having said that, I am 5'4" and weighing 135 lbs and ordered the small/medium and they fit snug are thinking you will be a medium plus, I recommend you get the large, otherwise they might not fit you well. Definitely looking forward to testing them in a crash!.

Some people complain about the hard spot at the elbow, but I do not mind it at all. I also appreciate the way it fits almost perfect on me. Get yours today and forget about the negative feedback!.

Since I'm only 5'6" and generally a pretty small person, I thought that medium would fit best, but these were too narrow and the Velcro didn't have enough space.
