Nope. It's not going to work. I have a shadow, and the unit's back will not even fit inside the assembly. You won't be able to keep it in there because it lacks mounting points.
It is appropriate for 2014 Fat Bob FXDF.
This is an excellent light source. I have 2
If I didn't have an equalizer, it would fit my 2016 Iron perfectly. Equalizers aren't just for blinkers, aren't they? Is it true that this is only applicable to older models?

This is a fantastic alternative to paying the Harley Tax at the dealer! I almost fooled the service manager because he had to examine it for a few moments before I pointed out the difference. I would strongly recommend this light to any OEM or H-class company. Daymaker by D Brand. Very nice packaging, installation took less than 2 beers, and it worked flawlessly. The headlight is extremely bright!.
The light was bright, but I noticed that my light was vibrating at frequencies that were familiar to me. When I removed the light, I noticed that the top left plastic refractor had come loose- The plastic lens was abraded as well. br>The screws holding it in place had come loose. bummer. br>I contacted Ocean Source, who quickly provided me with a replacement. So I thank them; I still had my stock light, but who wants stock when you can have bright LED (at least with the Vicky Octane)? So, I reinstalled my stock, but I didn't ride at night. Now for some light: br>br> It has a lot of light. Much lighter than the stock version. br>br>In rural areas of South Carolina, deer season runs all year. A tale: br>br> I got home around 1130 p. m. the other week. I was driving at 60 mph with my high beams on (I normally drive at 40 mph on this road at night), but there was a cager in front of me who was driving too close to me and slamming on the brakes too frequently when I was behind him. So, before the road narrowed to one lane, I increased my speed to gain some separation). br>br>So I got my distance, and I'm checking my rear view mirror to make sure they're far behind me. so to say my focus wasn't 100% right in front of me br>I'm thinking to myself, I'm going to drive too fast through Deer Alley. I was about a mile from home and 40-minutes away from getting home. Out to 50 feet, a HUGE congrats to the deer! Thank goodness for Stephanie Tanner and Baby Mark Messier, I instantly react, lock up my rear, fishtail, but don't high side. I'm a calm rider, so I can handle a fishtail at 50 mph, but I got lucky. As a result,
- It was the end of my ride, so my tires were warmed up. br>- It was a dry daybr>- I had LED lighting, which allowed me to see what was ahead of me in a BRIGHT light.
- Ocean Source sent me a replacement light right away, and I installed it right away. br>br>I don't think I would have had 40 feet to react if it hadn't been for the LED light. When it comes to avoiding a deer strike while traveling at 50 miles per hour on two wheels, this is nothing. br>So, if you have a stock light, replace it with an LED (even if you choose a different style from a different place- Simply make yourself known! This light is ideal for me, my preferences, and my security. ) I had to use the seller's quick customer service, so I'm aware. br>The light also looks good on the octane. People don't pull out in front of me because of this light or my riding strategy; instead, they tend to wait- Even so, I'm not resting on my laurels. br>Don't put off upgrading your system. It is inexpensive and has the potential to save your life. br>br>Buy with confidence. br>br>Peace and safety to you out there.
Very good quality! It's fantastic! Before and after pictures are shown in the photo.
I'm going to start by saying how much I adore this light and how highly I rate it. This light has a cool black background that matches my Iron 883 Sportster perfectly. Once installed, the brightness of this light and the amount of light it projects down the road is INCREDIBLE! I can see so much more at night than I could with the stock light that it's almost comical. When you see how much light it emits and how much you can see at night, you realize how unfortunate it is that H- isn't bigger. For the sake of safety, D does not install their Day Makers as stock. The great thing about this light is that it has all of the features you'd expect from a super bright LED headlight, but none of the drawbacks. The dreaded markup (the D tax). br>br>All right, now for the bad news. For me, the installation proved to be far more difficult than it needed to be. The H-word It was relatively simple to get D light. The problem with this light is that it comes with a cord that must be plugged into the existing hook. ups. The stock light fits very tightly into the light's housing, leaving little room for anything else, let alone a cord and a plug! The fact that it's a plug-in is convenient. There's no need to hardwire the light because it's plug-and-play. However, I was having a lot of trouble getting the light to fit properly in the housing. Needless to say, it took nearly an hour of patience and [anger] breaks for me to get that thing seated in the housing. It looks great and performs even better once it's in the housing. I ordered this light around the same time as a friend, and mine arrived and was installed a few days ahead of schedule. He said he didn't have any of the issues I did, and it only took him about 10 minutes. So it's possible that I'm the only one experiencing this. br>br>The attached photo is the real reason I gave this light four stars instead of five. The lens fogged up on the first ride, which was early in the morning in Ohio (not a particularly humid place in the middle of summer). I'm not sure why it does this, but it's very inconvenient. The only saving grace is that the fog dissipated as the day progressed and it warmed up. Aside from that, the light is a fraction of the cost of an actual H-D. Maker of the D-Day.
Since the seller contacted me, I'm going to revise my original review. It's an LED light, so it doesn't generate much heat, but every time I turn off my bike in the fall, it gets fogged up and stays that way until the fog clears. Since then, I've purchased the Daymaker itself from Harley. It has no problems with fogging. Even after following the seller's advice, this one fogs up in my project bike. When comparing this to the more expensive model, I discovered that my Harley is completely sealed. Even if it is raining or there is no fog, I ride.
On the HD website, I discovered a $350 LED light assembly. I read some reviews about the light assembly and watched some installation videos, and in the process, I came across a Wisamic LED assembly for approx. 1/7 the price of a high-definition model Even if I have a problem with this light, which I haven't yet, I can buy six more than I could with a single HD model. This light is simple to set up. Because the plug is longer than the HD halogen assembly, you might have to fiddle with it a little. In comparison to the yellow halogen, this light is a bright white/blue. It's the difference between day and night, and it's a million times better. There are a couple tabs that help with alignment on the stock halogen assembly that the Wisamic lacks, but this isn't an issue during installation. I've had this light for a few weeks and have had no issues with it.
