MTSPT- Yamaha's M-Series 08 is a Yamaha-branded M-Series instrument. Smaller, lighter outboards with a 20" shaft are better suited to the Y wedge tilt trim support. The Yamaha MAR-X has outboards with shafts that are 25" long and 30" extra long. MTSPT- The outboard gearbox skeg on the 08 does not have enough ground clearance to the road surface, especially when trailering off road, over speed bumps, and into driveways. Once properly positioned, the motor rests on the product's rubber tip, which allows for some motor bouncing within safe limits. The motor's weight will not bounce off the transom as a result. The lower unit's tip has plenty of travel clearance as well.

This is a fantastic way to keep the motor going while traveling. It appeals to me more than a transom saver, which appears to be harsh on my lower unit's finish. It's simple to set up and store. The price is affordable.

It's what I use on my Yamaha F150 from 2008. It really works. Make sure to use the trim arm on the opposite side of the trim indicator.
