Questions & Answers
It'll fit in the forks just fine, but it's not the weight you're looking for. The capacity and recommended oil should be found in the shop manual. Maxima, on the other hand, makes the proper oil for your motorcycle.
I always start by rinsing the forks thoroughly to remove any remaining oil. It's difficult to know how much to add if you don't have that information.
I believe you need 15 pounds of weight, which is what the factory recommends, possibly more if you're a heavy rider.

This is what I used to rebuild the forks on a 2017 Kawasaki Ninja 650. There are no traces of additives or other substances that could clog the forks. br>With a little left over, one liter will fill both forks to 101mm. br>br>It doesn't taste as bad as factory fork oil, which isn't saying much. While pumping the forks, wear a face shield.
I was just doing maintenance on an old bike that was new to me, and the old oil smelled like rotting whale carcass and looked even worse. At a depth of 1/4 inch, it's completely opaque. Maxima is a light vegetable oil color with a transparent finish for the feet. At 9. 2 oz per side, 2 bottles can do 3 changes for me, 12 oz total With a little room to spare, 15 years' worth of work. This is a must-do if you own an older Dyna. EASY! I'm a first-timer, and I've spent an hour in the garage!.
Forks on a 2012 Yamaha Fz6r worked well. After the change, the bike rides smoothly and there are no leaks. I used this fluid for a home garage swap and would recommend it to street riders with a 600cc street/touring motorcycle.
I've heard that some people use engine oil for their forks to save money. However, you don't need to change it very often, and dedicated fork oil, at least in theory, should keep moisture out better over time than engine oil. This small jug was relatively inexpensive, and it will be sufficient to replace the fork oil in both of my motorcycles twice.
Buying Harley-Davidson fork oil is a lot more expensive. 10W fork oil is equivalent to HD type B fork oil, according to Maxima's label. br>br>If the need arises, I will undoubtedly purchase again. I haven't tried it yet, but I expect it to be better than the oil in the forks right now, which is probably 39 years old!.
These work great on my 2018 Honda CRF110F and make them feel so much better. Try replacing the fork oil on your motorcycle if you haven't already. It makes a huge difference in how plush it feels.
There isn't a whole lot to say about this. It was a swift arrival. It has an oily texture. I didn't need to refill my forks because I had more than enough food. There are no issues.
When reserving front forks on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, I use this 10 weight fork oil. Because stock harley fork oil is only 5 weight oil, it reduced fork bounce. Front fork dive is reduced by the viscosity of the thicket.
