Questions & Answers
There is no way I can answer that question. This worked for me when I used it one time. There are no guarantees that it will be good for your day-to-day work.
An open package has been found in one of them. It has not yet done so with the other one. Thank you. I hope this was helpful.
Selected User Reviews For BikeMaster Fork Seal Installer (32-47mm)
The seals I installed on the 39 mm forks were made with these. In order for the slide hammer to angle itself so that it contacts the fork tubes, the bore must be large enough. I can't see the point of the rub strips. As a result of scratching the tubes with the metallic hammer, the tubes were damaged. The speakers will be refinished by the company I find but, in the meantime, I have located new replacements in France that should arrive within a few days. The mere thought of anything metallic anywhere near the fork tube makes me swear off the stuff forever. Upon looking, I found that none of them were I can scratch up a few dollars for the wrong ID and OD of PVC pipe that will work.
It is advertised as working up to 47mm, but it doesn't really work that big. You can make them work if you struggle with the larger forks, but they aren't created to do so. This is fine for the smaller ones, but what I bought them for was completely different.
There's something that isn't pictured in the picture - the plastic clip that clips over the fork tube of the seal hammer. That part is most likely the most useless tool I have ever owned. They are completely unsuited for the task they are supposed to perform. There is a possibility you will get two seals seated and your part will be entirely destroyed as a result. Make sure you get a quality tool by spending the extra $30.
This item was purchased to install new fork seals on a 2008 Ducati S2R equipped with My plastic seating installer did not provide an even surface to apply the seals to. The three pronged device made it impossible to seat the seals with an even amount of pressure when sliding the hammer portion. Furthermore, the prongs were too short to fully seat the washer before the seal was applied. The seals were installed with the metal driver part of the BikeMaster kit I made from the pvc pipe lying around the house and the pvc pipe I discarded. A BikeMaster installer was used to successfully complete the job, but only because I reverse engineered a part to enable.
Unlike the picture, it isn't the same as this.
It is useless. It didn't work for me so I made one out of PVC pipe like everyone recommended.
If you don't have it, you can't fork!.
It works well since it is made to protect tubes from scratches and the seal just snaps.
