From one channel to the next, the distance is about 25 inches. br>The distance between the beginning and the end of the piece is 12".
I'm not sure, but it's too tall for a 2003 Yamaha YZ125, as I discovered.
The wr250 sits slightly lower than the 450s, and its sole purpose is to keep your forks from bottoming out as you ratchet down. If you can get it in with minimal effort, you're good, but if you have to pull up and wedge it, you're out of luck. Choose one that is smaller. I hope this has been of assistance.
Do not purchase this product; instead, cut a piece of 2x4 to the required length. br>It does not fit any bike; no matter how tight you tighten the straps and how carefully you place the product according to the instructions, it WILL fall out even on the smoothest gravel roads or potholes, causing damage to your bike and truck. Again, this is a dangerous product that you should avoid purchasing.

It appears to be a viable option. However, it is a complete failure. I only used it twice because I wanted to make sure everything was in place. When I hit a pothole on the trails the first time, it fell out. I assumed it was a coincidence or that I hadn't tightened everything sufficiently. So, following our ride, my friends and I double-checked that everything was in working order. The brace appeared to be secure; no matter how hard we tried, it didn't wiggle or move. However, after leaving a parking lot where we had stopped for some food, we were on our way home. My bike partially fell off the rack after the brace fell out again, allowing the straps to loosen. Because the bike twisted as it fell, the hand guards smashed into my tailgate, causing a large dent and scratches on my brand new truck. I'm furious, to put it mildly. BUYING THIS GARBAGE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. For years, I've been racking my bike and have never had a problem. I'll keep racking my bike even if this stupid product isn't available.
This was purchased to be mounted on a hitch carrier for my 2017 KTM 300 XC. My current Fork Saver leaves a huge gap between the wheel and the fender when used with AER forks. It had a length of 11' 3/8" and a width of 11' 3/8. " I was ecstatic to discover that this one was listed as 12" - its not! It's exactly the same size as the one I have now. I hate to give it one star because it appears to be well made and sturdy, but the description size was the reason I purchased it and it turned out to be a waste of time.
The product appears to be of good quality, KTM Orange, and performs as expected. It is also durable. br>BUT:
1 - Should be two inches- My 2012 SX-T is 3" longer. To get it to work, I had to compress the fork a lot.
2 - I misplaced it on my first trip (30 minute drive) because there is no strap to secure it, and if the bike moves around, it will lose its grip and fall off.
I heard that compressing your shocks during transportation could potentially blow your front shock seals. This is a low-cost insurance policy. It's simple to use, and it keeps your bike safe while you're on the move.
I was disappointed with the product because it did not fit my WR250R. It's about 1/2" too tall, so I have to lift and extend the forks to make it fit. I don't use a front wheel chock; instead, I strap the bike to four points on my cargo van. Even when the front of the unit is pressed up against the unit, it will not stay in place. I wish I could go back and get my money back.
It's a good product, but it's a little too long for my Yamaha RT 180. Using a hacksaw, I was able to quickly reduce it to the proper size. Before you go out and buy a bike, make sure you measure it. br>br>I purchased a second one for a Husky TE450, and it fits perfectly. Keep in mind that this is designed for full-size bikes (which makes sense), but if your forks are shorter, you can easily cut it down to size.
Fork saver for my dirt bike that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Seal saver for the front forks.
