Questions & Answers
To begin, contact Pit Posse and explain how you were able to break it.
It should fit those bikes, according to the manufacturer.
Thank you for your interest in finding out more. The support is approximately ten inches long. 5 inches. That brings us to approximately three. There will be a 5 inch compression and then it will stop. Compared to 8 inches without fork support, that's not a lot of spring tension for hauling.br>br>Boss Powersports
I'd imagine that if you tied it down tight for a long time, the springs would start to lose their original shape, but fork supports are mostly used to keep your fork seals in good shape.

Is it appropriate for this situation? Yes, but not in the way that it should be done. It does not prevent the forks from collapsing into a compressed state, as it claims. According to the description, it is a ten. My measurements show that it is just under 10 inches, not 5 inches. (Yes, I double-checked that I got the right one, the large. ) If you zoom in on the photo, you can see the tag) As you can see in my second photo, it has 2 inches of compression before you touch the tire, and then the tire will give some with 12 pounds of pressure; it's hard to see because I didn't want to take it out of the package because I'm returning it, but it's as I stated. There could also be more or less distance because motocrossers adjust the forks up and down in fork clamps to change straight line stability vs turning. This unit should be adjustable if it is to be effective, so that you can account for differences in models and user preferences. I've read some of the other reviews, and there are some warnings that it won't work with 450 and 250cc motocross bikes, so I'm not alone. It is not worth it, it is not as advertised (measurements are incorrect, less than 10 inches), I wanted it to work, but it is simply too short; if you don't mind compressing your suspension by at least 2 inches, causing premature spring sag in your forks, go for it; but it is obvious that pit posse did not test these or they would have already known they don't work with full size mx bikes, go for it.
My Yamaha WR250R fits perfectly in the Large size.
I ended up buying another of these after giving one away to a guy who was buying one of my dirt bikes and transporting it a long distance (couldn't bear the thought of the forks being compressed for so long, even though it wasn't mine. ) I initially chose this one based on weight, figuring that a heavier one would be more sturdy, and that seemed to work out. When I first received them, I was blown away by the quality. These are well-made and fit the CRF450X and XR650R perfectly, and they're reasonably priced. Is there anything else you could ask for?.
This is what I bought for my 2015 yz250f, and it works great. I believe it could be a little taller, but it worked perfectly in my truck bed every time I tied it down.
This is far too short; my forks don't even need to be compressed that much to keep the bike from swaying in transit, so this is completely unnecessary.
This tool will not allow you to overcompress your front forks.
I can now tighten my straps without causing my forks to blow out.
It's well-made, sturdy, and does everything it's supposed to do.
