I'm a firm believer now
5/5

These are for you if you've been riding stock HD shocks and find yourself clenching your fists every time you see a bump coming up ahead. I used to think spending $1K on shocks was crazy, but after installing and dialing them in, I can't imagine ever going back to the stock shocks that ride like a 2X4. The adjustable rebound seemed like a gimmick at first, but I've come around. I'll adjust a couple clicks in either direction depending on the type of riding I'm doing that day, and wow. It has a significant impact on the way things are handled. The standard Revo set will save you a few hundred dollars if you're only riding to the next bar in town. However, if you do a lot of mixing (e. g. The A models are absolutely worth the extra money if you ride a lot of twisties/canyon carving, freeway, country roads, leisurely rides, and so on. br>br>If you have a motorcycle jack that can lift the frame from the ground, installation is simple. I discovered that my swingarm mounts were almost 1/4" off left to right, so I used the weight of the bike (on the lift) to compress one side a little, which aligned the swingarm mounts. up the bolt holes on the opposite side Make sure the sag is properly set on these as well - Don't expect your riding life to change if you ride them right out of the box. It only takes a few minutes and a tape measure to complete this task. Hand-spinning the springs up and down is simple.

What a stark contrast
5/5

These should be standard equipment on Harley Davidson motorcycles. My 09 Road King's comfort and handling improved dramatically after installing these shocks. Potholes and train tracks that used to rattle your teeth and pound your kidneys are no longer a problem. I went from Harley low air shocks to the 13" Revo A, so maybe the old shocks were so bad that anything would have made a big difference, but I think these shocks are just that good. I'll simply click off the high points to get through this quickly. It came in excellent packaging. Everything was safe and secure, and everything was in perfect working order when it was removed from the box. The old shocks were removed and replaced in about 15 minutes. The instructions were simple to follow and comprehensive. - It was simple to set the sag. For the first measurement, I lifted the bike off the ground with my ATV jack to stretch the shocks to their full length. With the wheels down and me on the bike, my wife took the measurement, and the adjustment was simple: turn the lower nut on each side half a turn by hand. Remeasure and repeat until the sag is perfect. For me, it took a full turn on each shock to get it. I followed the instructions and set the dial to 3 for a test ride; after an hour of hitting every type of crappy road feature, I reset it to 3 after experimenting with all the settings. The regular Revo shock would be good for 95% of people, in my opinion. The adjustment dial on the Revo A is a nice touch, but the three settings are perfectly adequate, and you could save a little money by sticking with the standard shock and be perfectly content.

Stock isn't that much better
3/5

With all the hype surrounding these $900 shocks, I expected them to be a significant upgrade over the stock shocks on the 2017 Harley touring bikes. While the suspension travel and sag have increased, the ride comfort has improved only slightly.

Shocks made by Harley-Davidson are a disgrace
5/5

On my 2016 Street Glide Special, I should have removed the stock shocks as soon as I got it. In comparison to the OEM Harley shocks, which felt like my lower back was riding on a wood block, the Legend shocks seem to soak up all road imperfections. The installation was fairly simple, though one bolt would not line up and I had to fiddle with the springs to get it to line up. I am 6'- I went with the standard springs because I'm 4' and 290 lbs. I haven't had anyone ride two up since I bought it a year ago, so I don't think it's a problem. The shock rebound is set to 3, which is in the middle. I'll experiment with that later when I have more seat time, but the price was the only thing that bothered me because it was a lot of money for two shocks that the bike should have come with from the factory for the price of the motorcycle. Buy once, cry once; hopefully, this is a one-time problem, and after yesterday's short test ride, my back is already thanking me.

My 2018 street glide's suspension was terrible, and when I set it to zero, it felt like I was riding a motorcycle
5/5

In comparison to the stock shocks, there is a night and day difference! My 2018 street glide's suspension was terrible; when set to zero, it felt like I was riding a hardtail; I'm 200 pounds and my wife is 110 pounds, and it would sag about a half inch when we got on. I tried adjusting it several times, but it still rode rough. A on and what a difference, smoothed out the ride tremendously, Harley should scrap their shocks and use these straight from the factory for the price they charge.

Without a doubt, it is well worth the money
5/5

I was looking at Progressive shocks, which are considered to be the gold standard for Harley suspension upgrades, but the more I searched YouTube, the more Legends appeared. I gave them a try over at Progressive and I'm very pleased with the results. When compared to the factory air shocks, it was like night and day. It turned out that one of my air shock seals had blown, which could have contributed to the dreadful factory ride.

It was well worth the money
5/5

On my 2017 Road King Special, I installed these. Compared to the stock setup, it's a world of difference. It only takes two bolts per side to install, and the best way to adjust the sag is to make "whole turns" (one complete rotation of the spring). I weighed 210 pounds and completed the standard duty version of the test.

Until I put them on, I had no idea I needed them
5/5

It's simple to install and adjust. I had a friend who installed aftermarket shocks on the back of their H-D. D Roadglide was perplexed as to why the installer had said, "See you soon. " Once they're on, you'll only notice the normal bumps in the handlebars. All of the padding in the seat could be felt by me. I'm a two-wheeler enthusiast. My wife said it felt like she had a pillow under her buttocks because I was up most of the time. 😎.
