The bulbs need to be changed. It's for the cargo light on my wagons that I bought these 194s. Whenever I'm out shooting at night with my camera, I use the cargo area as a camera staging area. The 400lm bright white they advertise (which I doubted) is why I bought them. During the night, I need a lot of light to prepare camera lenses and other equipment. This is by far not even close to what you're talking about. Prior to this bulb, I had installed Philips 194 LEDs rated at 40lm, AND THEY WERE NOTICEABLY BRIGHTER than these Sealight bulbs. The Philips bulb uses 1 watt at 40 lumens. Sealight claims its bulbs weigh 2 wt and emit 400 lumens. Philips is brighter side by side with the Philips. These should be avoided in favor of the Philips 194. I doubted that it provided 400 lumens, I just wanted it to be higher than 60lm for a high output, but not so bright as to be nuclear. In a world where the age range is closer to 50 and 60 I would have been happy if the count was 100lm. After reinstallation of the Philips 194LED, I have fixed the problem. If you're looking for a Sealight 194, you should seriously consider the Philips 194LED as a great semi-recessed alternative LED plug-ins that are bright and colorful With a plug-and-play bulb you pay a few dollars more but they are I lost this time. . . *sigh* I hate losing things.
