I started looking for lights and discovered a plethora of LED-based options, as well as the need to locate resistors and other components, which would only complicate my already complicated requirements. On my 1996 Ford Explorer, I inserted these into a non-working light socket for a broken brake light. I used the other half of the pair to replace the other half on the other side, which was also about to fail. The entire rear taillight assembly was popped out by two or three Philips head screws, and I was able to replace the bulb and put everything back together in under 10 seconds. I am extremely happy.
A word of caution - Despite the fact that the websites (and I checked several places) state that these will fit both front and back, they should only be used for the back. They're clear, with amber ones in front. (Pontiac G5 - 2008) (I'm not sure if this applies to all vehicles. ).
The Bulb in and of itself is fantastic. Exactly what I needed! br>I'm the proud owner of a 2011 Chevy Malibu. The taillightbr>plastic holder must be removed by opening the trunk. The installation of the two bulbs took about an hour. br>Chevrolet has failed to impress me. They made it this way to irritate the customer and force them into service so they could pay Chevy to replace it. My BMW has made replacing bulbs simple, but fixing things is a ripoff. The window regulators were not working properly. Neither a BMW nor a Chevy should be purchased. That would be my recommendation.
The bulbs arrived in perfect condition and in a timely manner. The item arrived on time and was exactly what I needed for my vehicle. It is simple to set up. I wanted to replace both, but they came in a padded envelope that didn't protect the bulbs well enough. One of the filaments had already snapped.
I have no idea how well these work because they did not fit my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara, despite the fact that they were advertised as doing so. I went to AutoZone to get white bulbs because the ones I had didn't work, and they didn't work either. br>br> It turns out that the turn signal housing does not have the white style threads, so I had to settle for yellow/orange.
These bulbs are short-lived, with almost every set purchased from Amazon dying within a few months. I'm returning to the auto parts shop. br>At the top of this page is a close-up of a close-up of a close-up of a close after only driving less than 10 miles, the "new" bulb snapped its filament. While driving back to my house, I heard the automatic bulb out click quickly. As you can see, the failure is due to a miscommunication between the post and the curl. The failure point is most likely a crack caused by the formation of low-quality filament. On the exact right bump in the road, Poof. On my trip, it could have been one of the manhole covers. So, if you live in an area where there are no road bumps, these bulbs may be acceptable.
In my Chevy Equinox LTZ, I used these replacement bulbs. After I installed them, they all went out. Thinking there was something else wrong with my car, I took it to my mechanic, who charged me $53 for labor and a new bulb, and my taillight now works perfectly.
One of the bulbs burned out quickly after being installed, but this could have been due to the fact that they were shipped overseas to my military PO box, rather than the quality of the bulbs. Who knows how much jostling and bumping the contents of the package endured during transport. Since its installation, the second bulb in the package has been performing admirably. If/when needed, I would purchase again.
