While trying to install a bulb in the tail light of an 09 Buell XB12Ss, I broke one of the bulbs

This bulb works fine, but the problem I ran into was that the glass at the end with the contacts was longer than a standard 1157, so it hit the bottom of the socket too soon for the pins on the side to As I pushed and twisted the plastic part containing the LEDs (which is the only part that can be grasped while installing the bulb), the LEDs spun while the metal part that goes into the socket did not spin, and that broke the connection inside the bulb, rendering it It took a lot of pressure to get the pins to engage after pushing the bulb really hard into the socket (I think the plastic stop at the bottom of the tail light socket had to be compressed).

Not enough depth in the base

There was not enough depth for the bulb to fit into the socket so I was unable to test. This was for a Aqua Signal Series 41 Navigation Light.
